Booked yet?
« on: June 02, 2008, 06:09:09 PM »
Booked your holidays yet?  Where are you off to?   :)

We're doing the same as last summer, which was to go on a bier-drinking expedition to Munich and Bamberg with a group of DHs friends.

Cornwall - Bucket and spade holiday for the kids - sigh all those lovely places in Europe to visit and we'll end up on a cold beach in England - but the kids will love it!

Yet again, no holiday for me. But as of Thursday, I'll be living in Cornwall, so that sounds as good a place as any for a holiday!  ;D

(Cornwall is fairly warm, scbrit!)

No :(  We are waiting for the prices to go down first.  Flights to NY are ridiculous!

We might go for a short trip to Florence to visit our friends who are moving there in July.

We may go to Chicago for Thanksgiving, but nothing else planned.

DH is doing intensive driving school in August, which will end up costing the same as a holiday!

Haven't booked one yet- though I did go home last week, but I don't count that-

I've had two mini-holidays already this year, but I still have tons and tons of holiday time still, so...
where should I go?

Taking our honeymoon down the coast of CA.. starting in downtown SF for a night, Pacific Grove at a gorgeous B&B and then camping in Cambria.  All over the map for accomodations but really looking forward to it!
Love your life, poor as it is. You may perhaps have some pleasant, thrilling, glorious hours, even in a poorhouse. The setting sun is reflected from the windows of the almshouse as brightly as from the rich man’s abode; the snow melts before its doors as early in the spring. Cultivate property like a garden herb, like sage. Do not trouble yourself much to get new things, whether clothes or friends. Turn the old; return to them. Things do not change; we change. Sell your clothes and keep your thoughts…

where should I go????????

Are you crazy?!  ;D  Do you know how lucky you are?!

Where should you go---Okay, for starters: Spain: Barcelona, Toledo, Salamanca then then travel around Andulusia for awhile. Italy: Venice, Bologna, Amalfi Coast. Greece: close your eyes and pick an island. See the Acropolis.

When I was traveling around years ago, I remember closing my eyes and spitting an olive pit at a map of Europe. That was how I chose my next destination! Ah, to be young and free again ...  :)
