I haven't read all the posts.

We've noticed an increased in our grocery bill in the past couple of months.  We currently spend around £275/month.  We're both vegetarian which probably helps a bit.  I typically take pre-packed items to work and those add up.  In the winter be buy 6 bottles or so of wine every month.  In the summer we buy beer and Pims.

For the £275 we get everything we can from the local farm store, the rest at Sainbury's including most cleaning products, with a monthly trip to Costco for a huge thing of cat litter, bulk coffee (an incredibly expensive habit for us), and anything else we need.  We have very limited cupboard space so we don't actually buy much there but DH loves Costco.

We eat out about 1-2 times a month which is not included in the cost.
