UPakWeShip Timeframe
« on: June 15, 2008, 03:47:30 AM »
Been reading all the shipping posts assiduously, and am leaning strongly toward UPakWeShip. Will get other quotes of course, but right now am trying to get a sense of when we should be shipping things: what was the shipping time for you, UPakWeShippers?

I read three months on one post and that seems a long time to wait.

PS we're not sure how much we're shipping, but my guess it that it should be about 7-10 small/medium sized boxes, no more than 30-50 pounds each.

First time moving over here from San Francisco to Bristol was 8 weeks exactly.

My 34 boxes are currently loaded on a ship and its leaving Monday for SF.  I expect 8 weeks again, Chris from UPak told me same thing this time ....6-8 weeks.

Used them as well and it took 6 weeks from Port in Houston to port on the south coast and then trucked to Manchester.

Would highly recommend using the port to door service or door to door service. There is a lot of paperwork on this side and fees as well that I didn't realize...plus we had to rent a truck and drive there to collect the boxes.

They were most helpful in their emails though.
