Looked for place name in Sweden in Wikipedia, Getty Thesaurus of Geographical names and finally googled it.  And got a map!
A friend knew only that her granny came from Markasochen but hadn't been able to find anything even though she had lived in Sweden for a couple years.  From Wikipedia I did learn that "sochen" meant "civil parish" so just looked for "Marka Sweden" on Google.

Holocaust survivor stories...

... after listening to Jeremy Vines today talking about the extradition of some guy (for spouting anti-holocaust theories in Australia) from the UK to Germany, where he is under arrest. Having the granddaughter talk about her grandparents sent to the gas chambers prompted me to do so.

Websites for Christmas presents for daughters and grandsons. My oldest daughter loves "Nightmare Before Christmas" stuff! I find the prices a bit nightmarish!! :o

I googled 'razor blades in apples' to inform my English colleagues of the mayhem in the early 1980's. On that same day I googled 'Underroos' since they had no idea what they were. My friends learn a lot about America from me!  ;D
