How old were you when....?

oh goodness, i don't think i have ever owned a 'proper' pair of high heels..I tend to be quite clumsy

How old where you when you got to stay home all by yourself?

When I got married and sent my son off to school!  So many people in my family I don't ever remember being completely alone.

How old when you first learned to cook?

I started cooking when I was young, making things like grilled cheese, mac 'n' cheese, cakes, cookies, scrambled eggs, etc, always helping my mom out, so not sure of the age

How old were you when you got your first job?

How old were you  the first time you felt  'too fat'  /'too thin'  ..  when dieting and exercise were an isue.. ?

Well considering that I was fat pretty much from infancy...I suppose I first thought about dieting when I was maybe - oh - 9 or 10?  Exercise took a lot longer to register - like maybe when I was 39 - lol!

How old were you when you first saw someone's (anyone's) dead body?

When I was 12 and my great aunt made me touch her sister in an open coffin    She had the beginnings of alzheimers which we didnt know and couldn't understand why she was acting so oddly....


How old were you when you had your first celeb crush?

12 or 13 I can't remember liking anyone before then but it's a possibility. I used to love David Dunchovny lol Silly.

HOWY when you first traveled outside your home country?

I was 13 or 14 I believe (Canada)

How old were you when you first read a book without pictures?   

I think about 7 or 8, but I only traveled across the border at El Paso (Texas) to Juárez in Mexico so it wasn't terribly exciting, I'm afraid.  When I was 21, I went to Rio de Janeiro on holiday & that was a heckuva lot more exciting!

How old were you when you first tasted champagne?

27 - when I got married. 

How old were you when you had your first trip to the hospital (excluding birth!  )

When I was 10 months old. I found an anti-depressant pill behind my grandmother's dresser and accidentally swallowed it.  Had to have my stomach pumped with charcoal and was in the hospital for five days. My grandmother still cries if anyone mentions it. 

My mother had left my father and wasn't speaking to him at this point. She called and told him I was in the hospital. They both stayed the hospital with me and ended up getting back together because of it.


How old were you the first time you planned a vacation to somewhere?

I was 20 years old, my friends and I went to Florida

How old were you when you first could ride a bike without training wheels?

I never had training wheels, I learned on a bike without.

How old where you when you moved into your own home?

I have never had my own / owned a home.

How old were you when you when you broke a bone for the first time?

I broke my middle finger at age 10. I remember really loving holding it up to show the teacher why I couldn't write!
