How old were you when....?

That's a toughie.

Hmm, maybe at 24 / 25, deciding I wanted to live and work abroad. I wanted to go to Australia, but exchange rates and student loans pointed to the UK! I was excited and afraid, but I wanted a challenge! 

The first time you lived on your own without your parents / guardians?

I moved out when I finished college, so 23.

How old were you when you first had to confront a friend about his  / her behavior because it upset you?

wow that I would remember? maybe 11/12 a friend was trying to take my boyfriend 

How old were you when you bought your very own first bed?

19 and I bought a brand new bedroom set!

How old were you when you got your first crush?

It must've been before kindergarden because, when I started kindergarden, my mother kept teasing me about the crush I had on the P.E. teacher's son (Casey) - but I couldn't remember having ever met him before! Actually his name might've been Steve. Or...um...I have no idea. But my mother kept teasing me about it and I really didn't think anything of him either way.

How old where you when you got your first boy/girlfriend?

16...how cliche!

How old were you when you first rode a bike without training wheels/stabilisers?

I was six. I was terrified to let go and ride on my own, but my grandpa teased me just enough to make me mad enough to prove to him that I could do it.

How old were you when you learned to eat with chopsticks?

I still can't do it properly! 

How old where you when you decided you wanted children?

19, when I knew I *didn't* want kids for sure.  If you can be sure about anything at 19.

How old were you when you finally felt like a grown up?

Part of me still doesn't. I'm a Toys 'R' Us kid. Still, I would say it was when I was 21 and got my first apartment.

How old were you when you cooked an entire meal without help?

Hmmm, I was probably pretty young. I can't remember my first meal, but I remember cooking for myself around seven. The earliest full meal I can remember is beef macaroni and I was about eight years old.


How old were you when you took your first vacation by yourself?

16 and looking back what where my parents thinking!?!?

15?  Actually 25.  That's when I learned what a hangover was, and it wasn't for lack of drinking!

that was a sad day for me. when your hangovers become EPIC in scale and pain. youth is really wasted on the young.
