About 3...I'm from New Orleans and in my family, we've all given our children coffee milk (coffee, lots of milk, and sugar).  First taste of black coffee was at 7 and I've always loved it

How old where you when you cooked your first meal?

Something simple all by myself probably about 8, but I was able to help before then. When I was 12 I did a turkey, mashed potatoes, dressing, gravy and the works for our family Thanksgiving (we always did both grandparents and one at home, on 3 different days) because mom was going to help me when she and dad came home from shopping, but I was in a hurry to get started.

How old were you when you had your first major heartache over a boy/girl?

My major heartache for a boy was when I was 11 years old, but he had a girlfriend which I found out at a dance.

How old were you when you fell in love?

28 the first time. Took awhile.

28 the first time. Took awhile.

How old were you when you first broke up with a boyfriend / girlfriend (you initiated it, not him / her.)

I was 20. He was great at first, my rebel bad boy that shocked the extended fam just enough to make things even more fun. After a few months I started realizing the rebel bad boy type wasn't the contented and happy in a relationship type and broke it off. We were still having fun, but that is all it would have ever amounted to - fun and no serious relationship. We are still friends 20 years later. He still hasn't settled down or been in a relationship that lasted more than two years.

My OWN car I was 22, with my ex husband I was 21.

I was 21 and moved in with my then boyfriend. He was renting the place and we shared it.

Our neighbors  had  ON TV..or was it  Select TV??  I think we saw  Class  or  Saturday night  Fever.. about  10...


How Old were  You  When  you had a professional  manicure or pedicure done?

Never had one.
Seems a waste of money when it's easy enough to do it yourself.


How old were you when you got your first ever brand-new (not pre-owned!) car?

Still waiting for that one. The newest I have had was 2 years old but in nearly pristine condition because the man who owned it is one of those who keeps his cars immaculate.

How old were you when you first started developing your own clothing style, apart from the clothes your parents chose for you?

14ish. My 7th grade vs 8th grade pictures are hilarious (same child?!)

How old were you when you had your first celebrity crush?

6 or 7--Jack Wild who was Jimmy in H.R. Puffinstuff.  That shows how old I am!

I guess age six, when I found out I my reading and comprehension were on a university level.
