I was 19 and it was a Fashion Bug in store only card. My thought was if I got it I could build some credit. Wow. I ended up building the mother of all wardrobes along with my credit.  ;D It seems every cent I made went to 'building credit' just because I'd see some other item I had to have.

How old were you the first time you stayed out all night (until dawn).

If it wasn't for Fashion Bug and Sycamore, I'd have been naked in high school. They were the only places I wanted clothes from.

Oddly enough, I was 20. All through high school my best friend was (well, he still is) a guy, and everyone assumed we were dating because we were out together nearly every weekend. Even years after graduation, people would ask if he and I ever got married.

44 years old - because I was too chicken/squeamish/scared before.  DH has been donating most of his adult life & I always went with my mom when I was a kid & when she donated (she was a nurse).  After she died, DH helped me to pluck up the courage to go - and we always go to the same donation place together, every 4 months.

Are you on the bone marrow register?  (we're on it, since our last blood donation)

I'd have to say 41 and a couple months. I turn 41 in May, and plan to get a smartphone when we get back to the States. Hubby has one, but since I don't really have many people I call here, I either use his or my old crappy one. It is the worst phone I have ever had for calls and texts, but by far the best camera I have ever owned, so I intend to keep on using it as a camera when we are back in the States.

If 'by cash' counts, I was 11 and babysitting. As far as a 'real' paycheck, I was 19 and it was from the local amusement park, where I had my first non babysitting job. Oddly enough, I made less at a 'real' job than I did babysitting in the years prior to it.

How old were you when you were allowed to order for yourself at a restaurant - not just telling a parent or other adult what you wanted, but allowed to tell the waiter/counter person yourself?

Probably quite young, around 9, maybe younger.  My grandparents (on my Dad's side) were very indulgent, especially my Pop-Pop and let us order whatever we wanted and I'm pretty sure I was old enough to say to the waiter / waitress what I wanted.  Lots of times it was lobster.  My Pop-Pop spoiled my sister and I.  :)

How old were you when you first went out for lunch or dinner on your own (not alone necessarily, but with a friend) and paid for it on your own?  Not counting a place like McDonalds.

Probably 16, as I associate it with driving. Sure was a good excuse to go drive somewhere!! And I'm sure it was something like Denny's.

How old we're you when you first played a video game?

How old we're you when you first played a video game?

Maybe 10/11 on the original Nintendo for Donkey Kong? Unless we are talking Arcade games and Pacman, which would have been a little younger, I think.

I feel old now!  :P

I won't count goldfish and I had no other pets growing up.  It wasn't until I was in my early 30's that I shared Poochie (big tabby) with my ex (he had her since she was a kitten, but she was about 7 when I came into the picture).  R.I.P. Poochie.  :(

How old were you when you first experienced the death of a beloved pet?

My sister's cat Tiger Lily. I was 6 or 7.

RIP Poochie, Tiger Lily and all the beloved pets.  :(

HOWYW it was the first time you chose a present for someone else on your own?

I'm estimating about 7. But I vividly remember picking it out. It was a random mini stuffed cat in a basket (no bigger than a fist) for my mom for mothers day. She kept it forever of course :)

How old we're you when you had your first sleepover (friend at yours or vice versa)?

Not counting cousins, I was five, and it was my best friend Becky's house. Between kindergarten and fifth grade we seemed to always be at each other's houses.

How old were you when you first ordered something online?
