28, but only because I got cats and didn't want Brownie and Lambie to be ripped to shreds!

First alcoholic drink?

About 5, I believe, but only sips. My teenage (at the time) uncles would give my brother and me sips any time we'd see they had it, to keep us from telling grandma they had it in the house. Properly, though, 16.

How old were you when you were first given a chore that was solely yours, and you had full responsibility for it?

I was around 5 years old when my mom said I could clean my own room and at that age I enjoyed it. Then when I hit my teenage years my mom would do it because I would leave laundry on my unmade bed all the time lol :P

How old were you when you had your first kiss and who was it with?

I was a late bloomer, as far as international travel goes. I was 33, and it was when I flew to England for the first face to face meeting with hubby, who was then my fiance. I proposed, I said yes, then we decided we'd better meet face to face!  ;D

How old were you when you quit believing in the closet monster/thing under the bed/boogeyman, or whatever 'thing' it was you just knew was going to get you?

I never actually believed in any of that and was never afraid of the dark.  I was the oldest child and the first grandchild on both sides so I didn't have anyone older than me to scare it into me.  Tho now if I watch a scary movie late at night I have trouble sleeping...go figure.

How old were you when you first fell properly in love?.....not puppy love....but life changing love.

About 16, I think. At that age, it seems kinda heartbreaking. Ah, young love. Stupid, fun and crazy-making. Hormones, I think?  :D

you won something (and what was it)?

Just re-read this, and it should have been HE proposed.  ;D heehee...

The first I remember winning was Joan Jett and Cheap Trick tickets when I was maybe 18? 19? The sad part is we didn't even get to go because the roads were too slick, and it was a 50 mile drive.

You first became interested in a hobby you have done for a long time?

That would've been a classic 80s concert!  Shame you had to miss it!

I'll have to say early 30s when I started on the harp, so it's been 15 years now.  Other hobbies from when I was younger I just don't do anymore (painting, drawing, crafts).

23.  Miss him everyday.  Then lost my Nana (his wife) less than 15 months later on my 25th birthday.

How old were you when you took your first airplane trip? Where was it?

Vancouver - Calgary as a baby. Vancouver - Montreal and Vancouver - San Francisco in my early 20s.

ETA: I lie - I think it was Edmonton, on reflection. I was small, anyways.  :-\\\\

Pretty early in childhood. I can't remember the exact age. We'd go to Lincoln State Park (famous because of Abe growing up there), and also to the woods behind my grandparents' house on the property my grandparents gave to mom. That was the best of both worlds - the great outdoors AND grandma's house with a hot shower and lots of 'grandma treats'.

You realized it is okay to hang on to sentimental items without feeling like a pack rat?

I was devastated for a long time.

Never--I hate accumulating stuff and only have a very few sentimental items (my little stuffed tiger I got on my 2nd birthday is one of them).

How old were you when you realized it's OK not to do something that was 'expected of you'?  (for example--not having a career in what you went to college for)

4, when I went from nursery school to kindergarten, then again at 7 when we moved from MD to PA when I was going into second grade.

How old were you when you first realized you were really good at something?
