I took it more as an homage to those films, which were all pretty cheesy.  Maybe that's why it didn't bug me. :-\\\\

I would have felt the same if after the first 20 minutes that it wasn't a continuous storyline of things that were so ridiculous. One thing after another just made me want to walk out of my living room. I know Indy is cheesy by nature but this was just ridiculous in a very unintelligent way.

I enjoyed it.  Went out to have a little fun and see something not sad, not horrifying, not animated, not disturbing, just fun.   :)

I agree.  And all Indiana Jones movies are a bit silly.  I really enjoyed it.  And the eleven year old asked for the books.  So, that's a success.  :)

Like a world-wide search for the Ark of the Covenant?  Kali worshippers who enjoy ripping still-beating hearts out of folks for giggles?  A 500+ year-old knight hanging out in a cave with the Holy Grail?

The fact that an entire team of men can excavate a cave in the middle of a whole BATTALIAN of Nazis and not get noticed for days?  :) Or that a monkey can communicate enough to be used as a spy?

Well, that's true though.

Well, it has happened before, and in this country! ;)

I'll try to remember that for the future.

Trust me, it's saved my neck a few times.

Thanks for that!

I thought it was OK--but I did not like the kid who played Indiana Jones' son at all.  I thought he was just---dull.  I hope they are not considering him to follow in his father's footsteps.

As for the bad lady with a body to die for, I suppose being turned into energy and sucked in to an ancient spaceship doesn't leave much room for a sequel.    :\\\'(

OH no you did not just diss my bf Shia.  It is on. ;)

My problem was that many of the scenes in the film felt like one off shots that had nothing to do with the film.

As for the whole insane guy figuring out everything they needed to know off screen.  Lame, at least in the other films they had to figure stuff out for themselves.

Also, what was the point of teh skulls exactly?  How would they be an ultimate weapon?  Where they planning on forcing every person in the Western world to stare at the skull ala Clockwork Orange in order to control their minds?  Which the skull didn't even do? Lame.

The aliens could have been ok if they had explained any of it and any of the characters seemed surprized when they showed up.  With the ark and the grail they needed less explaining because these were already sort of familiar.

Those prairie dogs and monkeys totally lame and unnessacery, added in as Jar-Jar was.  Computer generated animals still look like, ummm, computer generated animals.

I like a good fun movie, this was just not it.  Which I found really disappointing (can you tell?) because I still thought all the actors worked very well together.

On the other hand Back to the Future was on this past weekend that is still really funny.

Everyone should just go see The Hulk instead. A much much better film.
