Spurious reply notifications

Is anyone else receiving apparently spurious reply notifications from the forum? 

The last couple of days I've received several e-mail notifications for topics to which I have posted, but upon viewing the topic there have been no new posts for a week or more.

I have checked the headers, by the way, and it's clear that the notifications were not just "lost in space" somewhere and delayed excessively, but did in fact originate only a short time before being received.

Apparently so, although they seem to have stopped now. 

Probably some replies that got deleted for whatever reason before you had a chance to look.

I thought that at first, but it seemed odd after about five or six in a row in such a short period.    Could be that it just happened that way though.
