Aaarrrghhh!! I just got my daughter's UK passport (yay - that IS a good thing
). However, they sent back all the documents but decided to keep the notarized translation of our wedding certificate - that we'll need for my husband's visa application!!! My husband is going for his biometrics on Saturday and we were going to send everything off. Now I don't know what to do! I can't believe that they did this! Is there any contact between the consulate in NY and the embassy? Can I TELL them that the notarized translation has not been returned and provide them with a photocopy?? I'll try to see if the translator can get me another notarized copy, but that'll probably cost more $$$
. Why on earth did they decide to keep that but returned everything else?
