Hi. I never post here but just HAD to defend Cloverfield. ;)

I loved it. My second favorite movie so far this year (after Sweeney Todd). It's from the dude who does Lost so I guess I can see why it wouldn't be for everyone. There's a lot of hidden clues in the movie, just like there are in Lost. Google the drink from the movie (Slusho) and you'll start finding all kinds of info if you're bothered. Or read the message boards at IMDB. I love movies where you have to dig a bit deeper to understand things. :) However, I thought it was an extemely enjoyable movie even if you don't wish to learn any more (I feel the same about Lost). Oh- and watch the ending carefully. It's easy to miss but something happens behind the couple which is really important...

Unfortunately, they're doing a sequel to Cloverfield. I'm sure the sequel will explain everything in great detail & there will no longer be any sense of mystery. Was really hoping they wouldn't do a sequel to it!

Blades of Glory

I'd just like to point out that I'd NEVER spend money on something like this but it was on Sky Movies while I was cleaning the house & I couldn't be bothered to change the channel. Wow. Horrible horrible movie. I'll stay on topic- I'm having a hard time because I really liked SO many movies mentioned in this thread. To each their own. ;)

Very true, I agree.

BUT... if ANYONE out there actually LIKED "Dreamcatcher" I would VERY MUCH like to know WHY.
I think.

I had such high hopes for that movie since I really like the main actors, but sadly, it just didn't work.

In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale

I normally LOVE Jason Statham, he's super sexy. I really like Claire Forlani also as she was in Green Street but...this whole cast. My god! I just couldn't wrap my head around it!! Who came up with the casting? They really should get a different job because they suck at it. The acting was really bad and totally fake and put on...and you just can't picture half the people in it in a movie of this time period. It's a period film and they had....

Matthew Lillard (kid from Without a Paddle...yeah that dumb-funny-dumb movie), Ron Perlman (Hellboy himself!...seriously), Ray Liotta (Molly dad!...Corrina, Corrina! such a cute movie), Burt Reynolds (need I say more?) & Leelee Sobieski (She's so much better playing a nerd or a kid but she was some royal wife or something...it just didn't work!...Never Been Kissed)

So yeah...bad acting and BAD bad cast in a bad period film.  ::)

Last Days ( Gus Van Saint  is the director or something )

Based on the story of Cobains final days of life in Nirvana.

Dissapointment from start to finish.....What a absolute pile of poopypoos that film was. Not only would I recomend not seeing it..I would also suggest that if you do stumble across a copy...use it to prop up a leg on a wobbly table...thats all its about good use for.

I agree, VERY BORING this one. I couldn't keep my eyes open at all.

I have to agree with Lucky on both..and it is not often we agree on movies...
Both of them are boring.....Would rather watch paint dry.

I have to add "10,000 BC" to the list....
It's like Apocalypto...without a good story line, terrible acting...and "Jar Jar" animation.

cloverfield is a fine movie, and as someone as already said watch the last 30 seconds of the film carefully and a lot becomes clear. What i would not watch even if someone paid me would be Sex and the City.
its a far better thing i do than i have ever done
