The Tap Adapta will change your life
« on: July 06, 2008, 10:16:32 PM »
So after spending 10 years salary on a beautiful brand new kitchen, it turnes out I bloody hate the sink faucet (yes, the dreaded tap) When I have the hot water on, it splashes all over the windowsill and the counter, and it drips down the front of the cabinets under the sink....

Until now. So I went to a BBQ at a friends house and she had...The Tap Adapta, or otherwise known as an aerator. So I ran out this morning to Lakeland and bought one...and its FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!! Its more than FANTASTIC, its WONDERFUL and I am now thinking of leaving my husband for this tap adapta. Its the best £8.50 I ever spent. And they fit ALL taps. Hooray! No more wet counters!!!

I desperately need to get one for my bf's parents' kitchen tap! It's horrible! And this sounds like a really good solution ... I just hope they won't be offended if I buy one for them.

I've had one for about three years.  It's like having my sprayer hose back.  I hardly ever use the aerator.

That looks great...but I actually have separate hot and cold taps in my kitchen, and I doubt it would fit. >:(

ohh, that looks good.  My tap does the spray all over the place thing as well but as we use it everyday we know just how much to lift the tap handle so that we don't get that spray but friends and guests don't and then everything gets sprayed.  Think I will order one.  Thanks for the info.

OK, while we're on this subject... (I really want one of those, BTW - it looks awesome!) are US and UK taps the same? I brought home my old Pur tap filter last week and it won't fit. We got it on, but it won't screw up tight enough and so water sprays everywhere. I also wasted about $35 on filters for the damn thing. If the Tap Adapta will fit any tap, shouldn't this as well??  :-\\\\

This thing comes with like 8 adaptors....I don't know the answer to your question, but this tidbit of information might help.

The one I bought ages ago did have a way to adapt to separate taps.
