The word "whatever".

I'm not saying I've never used it.  But obviously it's literally not even a tad bit blatantly annoying when I use it.  It's really annoying when others use it though.  Never more so than when kids use it.

'Tea' instead of 'supper.'
'Settee' instead of 'sofa.'
'Lounge' instead of 'sitting room.'

I only know a couple of people who use them, and 'll never get used to it. Horrible!

I've gotten used to them but I don't use them.

I say:  dinner (unless it's a small meal, then supper)
          couch (unless it's a loveseat)
          living room

 ;D  How horrible are those?

Sorry, I use all those,

Tea is around 6pm, supper here is having something just before bedtime

But on a similar vein - "love seat" instead of 2 seater sofa/settee, first time I heard that I was having all sorts of thoughts as to what it might be!

I don't like 'living room.' Sorry. 'Sitting room' sounds nicer to my ears.
