My husband's company has Interweb in the name.

Tinterweb and Tinternet are T'interweb and T'internet. Just Yorkshire for The Interweb and The Internet.

Not netspeak.Yorkshirespeak.

My husband says this...mainly from watching Peter Kay.

I hate hearing the terms "panties", "undies", and "pressies".  It's completely irrational, but I cringe when I hear any of these.

I would dread the Victoria's Secret semi-annual sale because it meant a million commercials with the word "panties" in it.

I truly enjoy the use of the word "pants" here.  My quality of life has improved significantly on this front, although the use of the word "pressies" is much more frequent so I guess it's a bit of give and take.  :P  ;)

I love prezzies...lol!  I also love the use of 'pants'.  I quite often invent reasons to need to use this word.  "I forgot what I was going to say...pants!"

So I take it you wouldn't want to get panties as a prezzie then?  ;)

That would be correct.  ;D

Saying Crimbo* instead of Christmas is super annoying! I can handle Xmas, but Crimbo, no thank you.

*I've only ever seen it written not actually spoken

Is that like the name thing, where they say Cazza for Catherine, Bazza for Basil, etc. ?

I use "noms" for food, "omnomnomnom" for eating, and "(t')interwebs" but I hate "Crimbo".  What do you think, am I getting voted off the island?

I don't know but I find that annoying also...shortening everyone's name and putting '-z' or '-zza' on the end.  I couldn't tell you the name of 2/3 of the people I know here as it's all Gaz and Daz and Baz.

Why do people say Crimbo? I've only ever seen it written too, but I don't understand.

Prezzies drive me crazy too, lol.
