I guess you never know what kind of craving will pop up, but for the most part I couldn't care less what crackers I eat, or if things are different.

Ha 3 months in I had the biggest craving for fruity pebbles. I don't even really like them. But I had to have them.  Luckily I was in the states for work and brought some back.  I ate a few bowlfuls and now the remainder of the box is turning stale in my cabinet.  So you do never know what kind of cravings may arise!!!!

I am always pining for Triscuits - that's the main thing! :)

I think you and Mindy need to confer before responding.

Make Ms. Camp Counselor bring some back with her.  Do not allow her back in the country if she does not have them.

Oh, you better believe she has a list!  I have her trained well.

Are pecan sandies those cookies that are like shortbread with pecan in them?
They're not bad tasting, but they wouldn't be the first on my list.  Then again, I don't really like chips ahoy cookies either.  I do like oreos in small bunches, but think they're vile when they get a bit stale.
Give me pepperidge farm miliano cookies anyday!

Oh, they're not TOP of my list.  They're just up there.  Top of my list would be.........um....Archway Cookies with the apricot jam and then those Chocolate stripey ones, what are they called?  Then Chips Ahoy, then Oreos.  Then Pecan Sandies.  I only fancy pecan sandies right now because someone said the name and I am easily influenced.

Never had a pecan sandy, but i reckon i wouldn't like them.

It's Nutter Butters for me... the one and only American cookie i would risk life and limb for...  [smiley=bigcry.gif]

Same here.

I don't think I ate many American cookies when I lived in the US. Maybe Pepperidge Farm Sausalitos ... but you can get those here every now and then. I mostly bought British biscuits. I've never liked Nutter Butters, Oreos, Chips Ahoy or any of the others people have mentioned. Except Pecan Sandies.

I've seen Goldfish.  Not sure if they taste exactly the same.

Just seeing that without seeing what it's in reference to is slightly disturbing! Took me a while to realise it's a type of cracker!  ;D

It's not a cracker.  It's really fish.  They're a delicacy in some parts of the US.  I thought everyone knew that.

Couldn't you re-create pecan sandies with just ordinary shortbread and pecans?  I've found a link to a supposed copy-cat recipe, though I haven't tried it:

http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Pecan-Sandies/Detail.aspx

I haven't thought about them for a while, but now that you mention it, I kind of miss rye Triscuits.  I used to eat those all the time.  Happily, we're going to visit the US next month, and I'm sure I can arrange to have some while I'm there!
