Who's getting married in 2009?!

I know I'm not the only one! 

I'm currently up to my eyes in quote from marquee firms, caterers, photographers, etc. It's so overwhelming!! And trying to crunch guest numbers is turning into the biggest nightmare imaginable!

Thanks! I don't think I made a real announcement as we're technically not engaged yet. I'm just hoping I get an engagement ring before I get a wedding ring! 

We're getting married at Manorbier Castle in Wales (near where I was born).

Sounds sort of like how we did it. Just started planning--never made a big announcement (which my mother still hounds me about), and just picked out a ring together eventually.

That castle is amazing! Should be lovely in June.

july 3rd is the question mark- trying to sort through venues- will base the date on that (and the football season of course)

Woop, I'm another for 2009!

We're looking at Sept/Oct 2009, though we're going to visit our venue the first weekend in August so we should hopefully have a date set after that. And then we can start with booking the venue for the Pennsylvania reception, ugh. Twice the hassle, but there are enough friends and family there that can't afford to fly so we've got to do something.

I'm just happy I don't have to deal with visas or Permission to Marry or any of that stuff since I've finally got my ILR (after five years on a work permit) and I should be a UKC by the time our ceremony rolls around, fingers crossed!

I'm right there with you.  Not "officially" engaged, and I have no ring.  And I'm getting married in 2 months!  I have no idea how this happened.  Haha.

haah, we weren't officially engaged for ages, either. I picked out my ring in February but then I said I wanted to be surprised (instead of just "well, here you go then" after we found the right one in a shop). And I was surprised... when he finally asked in June!! So for all that time (and several months before) we knew we were engaged but we just couldn't tell anyone...
