I also need to sort my bouquet and get my best man to try on his kilt and come to the hire shop for the rest of his outfit. 

My groom (funny word!) bought a nice new suit to wear, but we're just hiring suits for his best man and the ushers. The hire place said they need to have numbers and sizes by mid-May, so you might want to get that taken care of first.

My brother in law didn't get his measurements to DH until, oh, the week before the wedding. And, he never did get all the measurements, so the woman at the shop had to guess some of them. Yeah, I wasn't too happy about this!

I wouldn't have been happy either! We have one coming from Spain, so we're sort of having to guess at his measurements - or trust my future sister-in-law's measurements, and I'm not confident!

Dan and his best man got his sorted a few weeks ago, and were told they were really early.  My best man is quite tall, and going for the Highland thing, so I'd better hurry him along in case they have trouble getting his size.  Unfortunately (well, fortunately, I suppose) he has just fallen head-over-heels for...an American girl (!) so he is spending every waking hour with her and I can't pin him down to a time.

Going slightly off topic, my daughters told me last night that West Oaks Mall is closing down! That really shocked me! I worked at the Foley's there before the mall was even finished back in the 80's. So weird that the whole mall is closing :/

Shocking to hear about West Oaks Mall, though! Although I'm not really that surprised, the life kind of got sucked out of it once they opened First Colony Mall in the mid-90's.

Yeah,, I even felt a little guilty when I'd go to First Colony, LOL. But only a little, they just have more shops, and West Oaks starting getting scuzzy shops. Oh well. Maybe someone will take it over, and give it a make over like what happened with Memorial.

While the First Colony Mall opening definitely had an impact on West Oaks (as well as the remodel of Memorial City Mall), it was the opening of the Kay Mills Mall that ruined it...West Oaks Mall used to be my favorite, but I lke Memorial City Mall now.

I can't believe we are all from Houston.  I live in Cypress off of 290.  I grew up in Katy though and have lived in SW Houston and Midtown, as well.

I love shopping at Katy Mills,,lol. But I always managed to miss the exit off I-10 nearly every time I'd go there. My English husband likes to visit 'Outdoor World' whenever we do get to Houston, lol. He loves the huge freshwater fish tank, lol. He even has an 'Outdoor World' teddy bear, but if asked, he'll deny it! LMAO

I still love Memorial too, but that's mainly to get to my favorite shop in the whole world,, Sephora,,LOL.

Okay.....first time of SERIOUS panic.  Problems with the evening reception venue, still no dress, neither responding to calls/e-mails.  I broke down in tears in the loo at the Emirates (admittedly, the score line didn't help!)...

The good news is that scatty Vicar remembered to read the banns, so at least we can legally marry.  And the rings are being delivered on Wednesday.  I suppose this is the important stuff.
