I never had homemade mac and cheese until I left home! It's divine....... my kids won't touch the Kraft.

Really? I've never tried M&S's! My bf doesn't like pasta or cooked cheese  ::)  so making a big thing of mac & cheese is a bit pointless. Is the M&S stuff in a more manageable size?

I've always made homemade.  My whole family loves homemade.

I still like Kraft too though!  :-[ And my kids think of it as a special treat! What does that say about my cooking?

They don't like the Sainsburys readymeal kind though. "Too creamy. Not cheesy enough".

Yes! They even claim it's a single serving.  ;) (And it usually is, in my house, as mac & cheese is comfort food, and what's the point of being all restrained and virtuous with comfort food?)

Hi eliza_beth,

My husband used to work for that ShopRite on the IOM, and although they have the same name, they aren't related to the US company.  The owner has some connections in the US, and used to fly over and bring stuff back with him. (But he's Manx all the way.) I don't know if he still does that, but you will probably find more American products than you will in Tesco.

How is life treating you on the island?

Take care.
Ellen

I just watched the episode of Everybody Hates Chris where its Thanksgiving and Chris has to make the mac and cheese and he burns it. But his boss at the bodega saves the day and makes them a new batch and Thanksgiving is saved. I was salivating at the TV!

I always thought regular kraft mac n' cheese smelled like feet...

Ick, I used to buy my ex-boyfriend easy mac and he'd cook it and bleech I always ran out of the room gagging after it was cooked [smiley=puke.gif]  It smelled like feet to me!
I've never gotten food on my underpants!
