Cheapest Way to Ship

Hi

I will be moving to the UK in November, I will not be taking any furniture etc with me, but do have about 30 boxes of items that i have to take.  I will not be getting reimbursed for this by a company etc so i need to find the cheapest way to ship them out, i am really not worried how long it takes to get there, but just want to do this the cheapest way.  Can anyone help, has anyone done this already?

Try upackweship.com - they come pretty well recommended... we're going to try them for our move back to the US.

We moved 27 boxes with upackweship.com back in May from Dallas to Reading. It was around $1300. We dropped the boxes off at a warehouse in Dallas, and they delivered to our door in England. It went really smoothly, and though we haven't unpacked everything, the things we have are fine.

We shipped a 100 cubic foot crate with upakweship for around $650.  Only one thing was broken which was the glass on a picture frame (a few vases and a mirror were not broken) but that was really our fault for the way it was packed.

for those who have used upakweship:  do they ship by sea or by air?  do you have a choice?

My husband took care of all the arrangements so I can't know for sure, but I would assume you'd have the choice.  Our crate went by sea.

I think they only do small shipments on the air freight.

I used UPakWeShip, shipping 28 boxes for $1,300, warehouse-to-door. We took my boxes to a local vanline in Austin told to us by UPak, they palleted it all up, even starting while we there watching, it would have been driven to Houston, and from there it was sent by ocean freight -- this was back on July 18th, and I've been told it docked in London just a few days ago. I am now awaiting port processing and eventually delivery from the UK company handling this end.

Of course, I haven't had delivery yet but so far everything has appeared to go very smoothly with this company, knock on wood.
