Its one of those snacks by the company that does Pirates Boot, its corn chips, doritos, cheetos, fritos, pretzels and CARAMEL CORN. I am obsessed with it.

I don't know about the red vine stuff. But if you like red licorice, have you tried the Australian stuff Lakeland sells? I don't have time to get a link... we're on our way out the door. But they sell it online and in their shops!

Poundland sells bags of 'soft eating Australian strawberry flavour liquorice' for... you guessed it:  £1 a bag.  I tried it and it's fab... just like Lakeland's expensive stuff.

They are I think under £30, usually about £10 cheaper than the stores.

Thanks on the Chaos.  That sounds so like something I'd enjoy.  I'm going to check out the new Costco on Saturday, so I'll look for it.

I tried an Australian red licorice.  Can't remember the brand, but it was pretty good, but not the same.  The consistency was good, but the flavour was fruitier than just a plain red vines-type licorice.  I liked it, but it didn't satisfy the craving.

This is all payback for me laughing at my sister for craving food from certain restaurants where we grew up while she was pregnant in Florida.  I used to go to those and ring her while I ate the things she craved.  It was so mean, and now my bad karma is coming back to haunt me as I'm even further away than she was in Florida. :)

Cadenza, I'm afraid I didn't see any corn dogs - though I admit it was the last thing we looked for and the toddler was kicking off.

We did pretty well I must say. We got:

cat food
litter
chicken thighs
flank steak
cumberland sausages
pumpkin bread mix
wine gums (for DH)
espresso coffe (Illy)
soap
chopped tomatoes
coconut milk
beer
ziplock freezer bags
peanut butter
chocolate covered raisins
frozen shrimp
bin liners
cranberry juice
passata
tuna

I had thought we'd get diapers but we did the math and Lidl's are cheaper.

The meat alone should last us 16+ meals (not including the shrimp).

:D
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Am I the only person who hates Costco?  It gives me major anxiety to go in there.
Love your life, poor as it is. You may perhaps have some pleasant, thrilling, glorious hours, even in a poorhouse. The setting sun is reflected from the windows of the almshouse as brightly as from the rich man’s abode; the snow melts before its doors as early in the spring. Cultivate property like a garden herb, like sage. Do not trouble yourself much to get new things, whether clothes or friends. Turn the old; return to them. Things do not change; we change. Sell your clothes and keep your thoughts…
