kosher salt?

I can't find kosher salt anywhere.  I see there are some UK offerings for "kosher sea salt", but "regular" kosher salt is not sea salt.  It is typically sold in a box (Diamond or Morton's are typical brands), the grains are large and uniform.   Anyone?

Are you looking for it for the kosher part? If so I don't know. But if you're just looking for larger grain salt I would say try Maldon sea salt - comes in a box as well and is large flakes rather than grains....

Is it the big big grains you get on soft pretzels you are looking for?  If so, I haven't seen it anywhere.

You can try this site if it's the kosher part that you need.  I know they deliver to London...not sure where else.

If you are in London there are plenty of places to find this, just not in normal supermarkets.

You won't find US Style Kosher Salt in the UK, not even in Kosher Deli's. Unfortunately its just one of those things. I have asked at countless Kosher Deli's all around North Manchester, and even all my fellow Jewish friends mothers have never heard of it, it seems to be an American thing, I know, its hard to believe, but its just not easy to get here!

I use Maldon Sea Salt in flakes, thats the closet I find.

Ooh Titanics, thats not far from me. They don't carry US Style Koser Salt either...

Are you in London klschnepp? You can you try the Egg Store in Stamford Hill/Stoke Newington or maybe even one of the big supermarkets since there's a large orthodox community there. I'll try to stop by this week and let you know.

Maybe try Saxa fine sea salt?

I finally made it to Stamford Hill and unfortunately no luck. The Egg Store was closed but I did try two supermarkets and a Jewish grocery store and they didn't have it. As others have suggested, Maldon sea salt flakes probably comes closest to Kosher salt.
