Set up your mobile, assuming it doesn't cost an arm and a leg.  I find I enjoy it more when I'm out and about.

Agreed! I had a blast twittering last week from the concert I was at!! It was fun to come home and read my own posts even! lol

I find it's nice when I'm out by myself and need to share rather, um, snarky comments about people. ;)

I'd love to, but I'm not sure I can at the moment. You have to enter a password from your mobile - but I get no signal here, or anywhere really near here. I'm not sure how long the password lasts.

I don't know if it's set up differently in the UK, so apologies if I'm totally wrong, but I thought the password was a one-time thing?  I only had to enter it the one time to set up my phone.

Hey Abby, what's your twitter name? I'd like to add you. It's ok if you don't want to share it, though... :)

Yes, it's a one-time thing here too. But if I click on the link to set up my phone, it tells me to use my mobile and phone that certain number or password or whatever. The only way I can do that is by getting in the car and driving a long way ... and I don't know if it'll still work then. Will it? Or do you have to do it right then?

I don't think it's an immediate thing, but I don't know if they've put a time cap on it.  I didn't do it right away, but it was probably within the hour.  I wish I could be more help. :-\\\\

I should be able to get a signal within an hour of here! I'll try it next time I go out. Thanks!

The password thing is just to verify that it's your phone. Once you verify the number, you can twitter freely without needing a password each time.

Yup, I got that. It's just that I can't use the phone anywhere near the house - no signal - not even just that one time.

I never did a password thingie, but then I'm cheap and don't want to pay extra.  I just have twitter.com bookmarked on my phone.

How do I do that?? Do you need a special phone?

(I very rarely use my mobile and know next to nothing about them)  :-\\\\
