Not sure it will last but great to see Team GB are in thrid place on the medals table.. :o :)

It's all the rowing medals!!  They won silver for the men's eight and silver in the women's quad.  Gold in the lightweight men's double (Zac Purchase won it, yay!) and the men's four.

amazing isn't it?

Have you seen the reports about how much he eats per day? Something likw 36 eggs and a whole pound of pasta for lunch.

We were talking about that yesterday. It's one thing to need the calories, but how does he hold all that food in his stomach at once!!!

They said he has some strange body proportions, too. He's 6'4" and he has the legs of a man about 6' tall and the torso of a man 6'8" tall! Maybe he developed that long torso to hold all that food!

I would definitely NOT want the grocery bills for keeping him fed!!!!  :o

I think he said too that he has trouble keeping weight on!  I wouldn't want those grocery bills, thats for sure.  I wonder how much food passes through the olympic village in a day? Because he wouldn't be the only athlete needing to eat large quantities of food!!!
I've never gotten food on my underpants!

BBC player doesn't work outside of the UK. We've tried numerous times and ways. Well, we're working to get alternate ways to work.  ;)

Belita's right, unfortunately.  I'd need a UK ISP, which is far more work than I'm willing to put in.

I'll try again later.  NBC's site seems to be under the impression that my internet connection is "too slow" to download it.  Yet, I can do live streaming without any problems. ::)

I thought Dara Torres was phenomenal to watch in the swimming competition. She's over twice as old as the 2 other competitors combined who medaled with her-amazing and inspiring. I also think that Jason Lezak in such a hero in anchoring the US relays that pushed Phelps ahead- at 32 (almost 33) years old!!!! Great stuff!!!

We are a nation that has a government -- not the other way around. And this makes us special among the nations of the earth. Our government has no power except that granted to it by the people. It is time to check and reverse the growth of government, which shows signs of having grown beyond the consent of the governed.
Ronald Reagan

In questions of power, let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution. - Thomas Jefferson

Hurrah for GB's first EVER Olympic medal!  It might've only been a bronze, but it's finally the break-through into the USA/ex-Soviet/Chinese dominance in gymnastics.

This is just fantastic!  I couldn't believe all the medals we won yesterday and today, and even if we win no more (which we should!) we have done really bloody well.  It has been such a long time since we have had the right to feel proud of our sportsmen and women, and this is just the best thing that could have happened in the games before 2012.  I am chuffed to bits!

 ;D

And as for Phelps...his achievement is just amazing.  What a truly exceptional athlete.  Apparantly if he was a country he'd be sixth in the medal table!

I loved that comment!  Especially as the woman who I heard say that went on to say, "And that made us think - if Michael Phelps were a country, what would his flag look like?  Send us your designs!"  ;D

God I am so sick of seeing Paula Ratcliffe's tears at the Olympics. Give it up! Don't come back in 2012!! Of course the media was so busy concentrating on her miserable face they almost forgot to mention the British woman who came 6th! Ugh!

Yeah when the olympics first began they had a little story about him and his home and his dog and how all he does is swim, eat and sleep....I was shocked lol where does it all fit!?
