I'm so so so glad you extended this thread, pb! I volunteer at the stable where sophie and lambrusco train (medal winning equestrians) and in the midst of watching for coverage of them i've been totally drawn into the paralympic coverage in general. Good stuff!

It seriously is good stuff.  The GB was amazing in the velodrome, they took like 12 out of the 13 gold medals they were trying for. 
And the swimming and running and horseback riding is just awesome to watch. I wish I had 1/16 of the ounce of talent in sport as these athletes do!

I think its a real shame that there is not more coverage or headlines about how well we are doing in the Paralympics. In many ways it is even more exciting to watch than the able bodied games.

Oh completely.  Team GB has been a powerhouse.
The 13 year old swimmer was amazing, taking gold medals and competing with people much older than her. She's going to be crazy good in 4 years!
