Maybe I'm just getting annoyed because the gymnastics is the main sport I follow at the Olympics and it's frustrating that I can't see the gymnasts I want to see on TV (I had similar issues with Wimbledon too - not being able to watch all of the matches I wanted to on TV, which I knew were being shown on the BBC at home). It's also a personal thing too because my brother knows Louis Smith, Imogen Cairns and Beth Tweddle and has also had tea with Marian Dragalescu :P (his old coach used to coach the Romanian Team so he has spent some time in Romania in the past) - and I want to be able to see how they are all doing in the Olympics :).

Have you tried looking on YouTube?  Apparently YouTube is supposed to be showing things that weren't on TV.

That's a good idea - thanks :). I'm looking on YouTube right now, although all I can seem to find at the moment is the Chinese and US teams performances that have been recorded off NBC last night!

HAH! Figures! But I know YouTube was trying to tote themselves around as having more olympic coverage or as good as NBC or something along those lines.

Ugh, I thought the US comeback for the men's relay last night was incredible, but MUST it be all about Phelps?!!?

I thought it was great for the UK to take the gold and bronze in the women's backstroke. They looked so happy and the announcers has just finished saying that Great Britain had never won a gold in it before.

I can't believe the trouble the US women gymnasts were having with staying in bounds!!

I thought the 33 year old from Germany's story was so sweet and I hope she does well, she definitely deserves it!

I have to say, I think I've been converted to badminton after watching that STUNNING match between GB and China.  Wow, what a comeback against the home team!

I'm sold - this is way better than tennis.

Oh, no, did I miss Emms and Robertson play? I'm going to have to hope that I can find it online (I'm guessing it's too much to ask for it to be shown on US TV?). I haven't been following the badminton as much as the gymnastics, but I really wanted to watch that match (I remember them playing in the last Olympics and I went to see them play in Birmingham once - I think it was the 2003 World Championships)... I have to blame my siblings for my Olympic interest in these sports,  :P... I have one brother who is a gymnast and another who is a badminton player!

Oh, shoot.  I walked out the door when the commentators were saying they couldn't come back.  I knew I should've stayed to watch.

I don't know which cable service you have, but 'Telemundo', the Spanish language channel broadcasting the Olympics in the US has been covering much of the sport that the US hasn't, including the badminton and other less popular sports. I know it's a pain that it's in Spanish, but I've really enjoyed the variety and switch between the English/Spanish broadcasts.

Try the other NBC networks. Most anything you may want to see is on, just not necessarily on NBC's main channel. Tennis is on MSNBC right now, just had water polo and weightlifting.

Yeah - I've been mostly watching MSNBC, and then NBC at primetime, although MSNBC is back to swimming again now... maybe I'm just turning on the TV at the wrong times :P.

I'm on the East coast, so your programming is probably a few hours behind what I"m watching.

It was quite incredible!  I've never actually watched competitive badminton before, but this was FIERCE.  Better than tennis, in my opinion.  Emms and Robertson did an absolutely FANTASTIC job against the Chinese crowd BOOING at them and holding off a very strong Chinese team.  I can't wait to see them play again!
