Football Season 2008/2009 starts today!

ugh sorry to hear... I know the feeling of going to a shite game, last year when I went to see Forest, what a joke. It's amazing they made it to the next league! Well we have a whole season left, and so far the Reds are off to a great start! 4-0 last night

My other team, Arsenal, were evidently crap last night, but at least we won.  Our midfield combined age was about 30, so I don't have great hopes for this season until Rosicky and Cesc are fit again.  Liverpool were a bit lucky!

Any thoughts on the opening weekend?

The shocks were probably Hull winning and Newcastle putting in a great defensive performance to get the draw against Man Utd.  The downer of the weekend...Chelsea wiping the floor with an innefectual Pompey.

My best mate is a Toon boy, so not a fan of the Mackems at all, but would have liked to see them get a point.  But I love the Smoggies right now!  I have a VERY unhappy boyfriend...there were tears in his eyes as he was watching MOTD last night!

Got back on Friday night, and went to Arsenal v Newcastle on Saturday - brilliant!  Though the Toon didn't really turn up!

I got to go to Atalanta v Modena while I was away - Italian football is a crazy experience!

Chelsea drop points today - many thanks Spurs!

The Berb saga is great!  Spurs have agreed terms with City, but he hasn't talked personal terms because Mark Hughes had to finish his round of golf (NOT kidding!).

Kevin Keagan has gone, curbishley also gone, Man City look like Chelsea throw money at it all and hope for the best round 2...   my Liverpool are wobbling as well..  Arsenal are shaky as well, Manure have just captured Berbatov....
