What food are you craving right now?

I ordered nachos at an American style steak house here in Tenerife... they put sweet bbq sauce on the nachos. Interesting to say the least.

I had nachos at a local pub where we lived outside of Salisbury shortly after I moved here... they just sprinkled grated cold cheddar on tortilla chips, and they put ketchup on the side (salsa?).  There were some other related travesties in there, but those were the major disappointments.  They clearly did not understand nachos!

When I was a kid I loved the 12 cent hamburgers at WhiteCastle on Fordham Road. My mom used to say that it had cockroaches. I used go reply so does all of the Bronx.
I hate cockroaches but I really miss The Bronx!

She can bring me some Raisinets if she wants.  That brand.  Not merely "chocolate-covered raisins".  I need the yellow box of joy.

I used to get them in pouches or boxes at Walmart.  I could go for a pouch or two.  Man... why doesn't Nestle sell those here?!

Did you know that Jordan Almonds (sugar coated almonds that used to be available at every movie theatre) are a required item in every French wedding?  They give out bags of them to take home!  Yum

My dad used to get those when I was a child.  They  became harder to find, but then one of the times I was home visiting before he died, he had found a bulk candy store and was getting a bag of them every few weeks.  He loved them.

They sound similar to what you used to typically get at Italian weddings/wedding showers/baby showers.

They are available at the local bulk candy store.  Whenever I go, I get some sugared almonds, some small size gobstoppers/jawbreakers and a candy watch.
