It really is.  She knows what it is like being the foreign girl (being English in Scotland) and all so she's taken a liking to me.

I seriously can't wait!

So lovely! I have another American at work now. I think because I’m so quiet and assimilated pretty well people forget I’m American.

We tried to bbq for the fourth but it was so hot so kiddo and I made these epic grilled cheese sandwiches we had at a place back home that was featured on man versus food. Nice fluffy bread, buttered on the outside with loads of cheese, turkey and bacon on the inside then made in a pan like a grilled cheese.  So good but sooo bad for you lol.

Ooo how hard was it? I’ve seen recipes but never really wanted it that bad to try it. Have you tried it yet?

DI Why?

I love you Tami, but that is gross.
There's so much good cheese from the UK and Europe that doesn't involve milk powder and gelatin.

You're still the person that brought it into my life, so thank you.

No hershey's or marshmallow but I've got some graham crackers if that helps? haha (in fact, I think I'll make some graham crackers and peanut butter right now)

Listen Jimbo... I fed this to my British coworkers and they LOVED it. Really loved it!

I didn't get pictures of the rest of the food but I made hamburgers (made my own patties with beef and pork mince, salt and pepper only. No fillers), all beef hot dogs, baked beans, mac and cheese, corn pudding peanut butter pie and Key Lime pie. My manager made chili plus a variety of toppings for the burgers and dogs. I made all of the dips... onion dip, Ranch, fruit dip, spinach dip and buffalo chicken dip.

This is my managers back garden. She had it all decorated by the time I got there.

They slag me off about my weird American food nearly every day.  My food is a daily topic of conversation.

They were all adamant that burgers HAD to have fillers (eggs and breadcrumbs) in them or else they fall apart when cooked. I told them those are essentially meatloaf burgers and not real hamburgers.

They thought hot dogs mostly came from a tin and were cooked in water.

And most of them said they hate peanut butter.

So as they tasted everything I was getting feedback like,  "Omg, this is braw.", "Please start cooking for our lunch." And I've been requested to cook Christmas dinner and a wedding.

The peanut butter haters were instantly won over by the pie (minus one but she did taste it.)

They couldn't believe the flavour of the burgers.

The only thing they were really hesitant to try was the corn pudding. And I was like,  "You weirdos put sweet corn on everything." Once I explained it wasn't a dessert pudding but a casserole they were fine and surprise..  they loved it.
