Lidl will not just enhance your life. It will change your life. It is next level Aldi. My Lidl and Aldi are right next to each other. I don't bother going into Aldi anymore.

I think the thing that puts Lidl ahead of Aldi is the in-store bakery.  Such nice looking pastries!
Which is the reason I mainly shop in Aldi... the in-store bakery at Lidl is more temptation than I can bear...  ;)

I'm looking forward to this bakery thing.  And to Lidl's weird offers, and occasional special buys of American things.... isn't Lidl where you once found provolone, nctami?

Yes. They will have Provolone during Italian week plus different cheese offerings during Spanish week.

Those who are looking for thick sour cream... have you tried crème fraiche?
To me, it tastes the same as sour cream, and is thicker.  It definitely dollops!  ;)

That's what I use for most sour cream applications.  It works, but I'm sure US sour cream is tangier.  I think.  Gawd, I don't remember anything.  Maybe I should make a trip back, just to see if I'm recalling it all wrong.  :P

My Pumpkin Pie Flavoured M&Ms just came in the mail.  They do actually taste a lot like Pumpkin Pie, with strong notes of nutmeg.  The jury is still out on whether or not an M&M should taste like pie.

I want... a proper carne asada street taco.

Sigh.

I hear Glasgow has another Taco Bell in city centre. And Nam Tuk has gone out of business in the West End. I can't keep up with all the restaurants opening and closing!

The one at Argyle Street is open till 4am!  I was there yesterday... had a beefy melt griller, and it was really good!
Taking the hound to Ayr beach today, so might need to swing through the Taco Bell drive-thru at Irvine for another one..  ;D

Oh, good to hear this one is edible!  We were horrified at the food in the other one. Except for the beef tacos (when they actually had the beef in stock), it was really bad.  Will have to give this new one a try!

Enjoy the beach!

Starting to get newsletters for Christmas cookie recipes and they look heavenly.  Too bad I hate baking.   :P

My new favorite restaurant is Celinos!  OMG, they have three kinds of provolone at the deli counter, and the lasagna (in the restaurant) was great!

I know where WE'RE going for our "Festive Holiday Dinner" this year!

OMG Nan.. thanks for this!
I ate there last year with some friends, but we were glugging the pinot grigio and so never even bothered to look at the deli counter!  I'll maybe pop in and look at the cheese sometime this weekend...  :D
