Good on you! (More for you!)

Yeah, you cannot get good fried chicken here, as far as I know. At least, I haven't seen it. Lots of good other kinds of chicken, but no good Southern-fried chicken.

I miss running up to the grocery store and buying a box of freshly fried chicken. Why does that not exist here?

Good question. I'd think it'd sell well, as people here (in Glasgow) seem very fond of greasy fried food!  ;D

Ya know, that got me thinking of chickenfried steak. And that led to cream gravy. I would kill for some Texas toast and a bowl of nice, peppery cream gravy right now to dip into.

I have packets of gravy mix, and I have thick-sliced bread... I could have that!  (Thanks, Tami!)

They are not the same, at all.

KFC here is only original recipe for whole pieces of chicken. Not acceptable.  Lol

We are talking about whole pieces,  not tenders, scampi or chicken fingers.

I miss being able to stop in a café and get ("streaky") bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel or a croissant. I also miss going out to breakfast and getting ("streaky") bacon, eggs and pancakes or French toast. I am not very impressed with the Full English breakfast. I've been making my own breakfast sandwiches at home with "turkey rashers" and cheddar cheese. I haven't made French toast or pancakes yet even though it was apparently Pancake Day the other day. I am good at making pancakes from scratch but can't be bothered to convert cups to mL. I forgot to bring a measuring cup with me

You haven't missed it. Pancake day/Shrove Tuesday is on the 25th of February this year.  :)

And better than pancake Tuesday is paczki day (today) for all of those of Eastern European descent.

I have a proper Polish bakery in Stirling but I've been strict low carb for 2 months now and I just can't get my beloved Polish donut today. :(

Hood ice cream sandwich

Is that a particular type of ice cream sandwich?  So, not the chocolate things with vanilla in the middle?  Oh!  It's a brand!  And there are all different varieties, including the classic one!  Oh my gosh, I love those... I look every time I see an ice cream section, but they just don't exist here, do they?  Poor Brits... they're totally missing out.

Absolutely!  I love when the ice cream is on the verge of melty, and I can pinch the outer edge of the chocolate sandwich together... man... I don't even know how to describe how I used to eat them, but it was an enjoyable experience.
