Good on you! (More for you!)Yeah, you cannot get good fried chicken here, as far as I know. At least, I haven't seen it. Lots of good other kinds of chicken, but no good Southern-fried chicken.
Good question. I'd think it'd sell well, as people here (in Glasgow) seem very fond of greasy fried food! Ya know, that got me thinking of chickenfried steak. And that led to cream gravy. I would kill for some Texas toast and a bowl of nice, peppery cream gravy right now to dip into.
Re the fried chicken... sounds like you guys dont like KFC? Have you tried the fried chicken in chippies? All the chicken suppers I've had have been very good...
I miss being able to stop in a café and get ("streaky") bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel or a croissant. I also miss going out to breakfast and getting ("streaky") bacon, eggs and pancakes or French toast. I am not very impressed with the Full English breakfast. I've been making my own breakfast sandwiches at home with "turkey rashers" and cheddar cheese. I haven't made French toast or pancakes yet even though it was apparently Pancake Day the other day. I am good at making pancakes from scratch but can't be bothered to convert cups to mL. I forgot to bring a measuring cup with me
You haven't missed it. Pancake day/Shrove Tuesday is on the 25th of February this year.
Hood ice cream sandwich
Straight up ice cream sandwich indeed! They're just amazing!
