Sounds good, maybe I'll make some.

Over Christmas I made some jars of sugared Chestnuts and we gave them out as presents.  My son was put in charge of making the labels and asked the new AI program to make the artwork and a logo for a chestnut brand.  Holy cow!  The artwork was really pretty and the logo was very well designed.  We'd all better start welcoming our AI overlords.

I'd like a 'Greek Style''  hamburger pizza

'Greek Style pizza - which is what I grew up with - is pretty unique.  And the hamburger, it's nothing fancy, just ground beef , cheese and sauce. But was absolutely one of my favourites growing up.  I should try and recreate this!

The Greek pizza I had growing up was different (no ground beef) but I still make similar ones at home. Sun dried tomatoes, kalamata olives, feta and artichoke hearts on a white pizza is my favourite.

Ahh, whilst I do love a Greek flavoured pizza, the pizza i'm craving isn't Greek flavoured. It's Greek style pizza, which is very different.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek_pizza

Used to just get hamburger - which was base, sauce, cheese, ground beef. That's it. A flavour from childhood and totally craving it.

Yeah I did read about the difference - being gluten free so long I don't actually remember if the originals I had were Greek style + those flavours or not (much of my childhood is a blur in my memories due to PTSD). Definitely worth recreating your own at home!

I just ordered a cases of Fentimans Gently Sparkling Elderflower drink and two kg of  Flahavan's Organic Jumbo Oat Flakes from an import store near Boston. Sometimes ya just gotta have it, ya know?  ;D

Prices were better than what I could get on Amazon, too - and this way I don't have to deal with Amazon!  8)

Yes! For me, shrimp and grits SC style. We have some prawns here. I suggested it and got shot down, lol. Reminded me of a scene from My Cousin Vinny in which the two New Yorkers have no idea what grits are.

I also want La Croix cherry lime sparkling water.

This is going to sound strange, but I grew up in NC and absolutely love grits.  I used to eat them every day as a kid, and would eat them every day in London if I could.   BUT, I've never in my life eaten shrimp and grits.  I even lived in SC for a few sad years and still never ate them.  Why would anyone put shrimp in grits?  The mind boggles.

By the way, my local Tesco used to sell packets of Quaker instant grits in the normal aisle, right next to the oatmeal.  I was in heaven but it only lasted a few months.

Prawns. Shrimp. I can't do it. I've had them in aquariums.

And really, they are like sea-cockroaches, in the long run.  8) ;)

Very yummy sea-cockroaches.

The cognitive dissonance there is just staggering.  :o

I'm going to North Carolina in March. I'll get you a bag of locally milled grits. Do you want white or yellow?

You are soooo nice!  White would be fine, and don't feel like you've got to use up too much of your luggage space.

By the way, you once mentioned that you are a keen ice chewer like me.  Somebody once told me that ice chewing is an indicator of low iron and you said that you are also low iron.  Do you think there's actually a connection?
