work permit delays
« on: August 27, 2008, 02:44:28 PM »
hi guys,
I had a work permit application submitted on 9th july. The solicitors  have not heard anything . Has it taken too long? Is anyone in a similar situation? The work permit website says they are dealing with application received from 12 to 18th july. Can someone offer any advice before i loose my sanity. Thanks guy
Rich

Search around this board, there are plenty of threads on work permit delays right now.  I'd say at a little over a month and half, you've still got a few weeks to wait.  Good luck to you.

Rich, there are at least two other people on this board (me and matrix) who had apps submitted on july 9 and who haven't yet received them. I think it will be any day now, as my uni was able to find out that mine has been approved. The point is, don't interpret the delay as a sign that there is a problem with your app.
