That 8.8 cm is very, very small. Like, impossibly small.  :-\\\\

Aye, but that depends on what you're talking about...it would be a really big spider!!!

Barry Manilow has had a little 'work' done on himself. Yikes.

Ok, that's hilarious about Barry Manilow!  And true.

Today I learned that I really, really miss my bed when I'm gone.

LOL that is all I could think of when I saw him interviewed this morning. I couldn't even listen to him....it isn't very flattering, in my opinion.

If that's a "little" work, I'm afraid of what you think of Kenny Rogers!!

All sorts of things about cooking, thanks to so much down time at work and my addiction to food blogs. I can infuse my own oils, make pesto like an Italian grandmother, and cook Mexican food with feta cheese!  ;D

that the Stade Francais rugby tops are utterly horrendous!
(with thanks to Douglas, who delighted in revealing this to me!)

...how to make beer!  ;D I saw a brew-on-premises make your own beer place, so my sister and I went today to make beer. Neither one of us like it, but my brother does and his birthday is in a few weeks, so he's going to have homemade beer for a present! It's a copycat Budweiser recipe, and we saw a cute label called "The Black Cat." My parents' cat is a black cat named Salem, so we're calling it "Salem's Bud."  ;) We have to go back in 2 weeks to bottle it and I can't wait to give it to my brother. He'll love it!

ETA: I also learned that if I stand by my kitchen sink, I can hear the washer and dryer in the basement and don't have to walk downstairs to see if it's still running!  ;D

Not very interesting but we went to Annapolis today and stopped by the Navel Academy gift shop to buy my father a tee-shirt and they didn't charge tax so I asked the cashier why and she said when you are on government property there is not charge of tax. Of course that is not a bad thing but I found that an interesting exception.

You can make a low fat cheese sauce by melting some cheddar cheese into some chicken stock. That might be the most useful thing I've ever learned from Rachel Ray!
