that the English and the Yanks pronouce 'with' differently  ..Most Yanks  make it sound like Width  and Brits  make it sound like  with (like the  th in mother)  and that my FIL can  a real d*ck about non important stuff like that..   ::) ::) :o :-\\\\ >:( Does.My. Head.in.
Another regional thing! English DB pronounces it "wif." Drives me nuts, all of his /th/s sound like /f/!!! I pronounce it the same as your in-laws.

I learned there is an iceberg that is shaped like certain male part...

I could absolutely be Jupiter!  It's not always easily visible to the naked eye, but sometimes everything aligns perfectly so you can see it.

Yes! It definitely is Jupiter. Another crystal clear view of it tonight!

I learned that Jupiter has 63 moons. We could actually see some of them! And Venus has zero.

Wester Hailes may be closer in miles, but the 31 bus to Nicolson Street is THE WAY to go to Lidl!

Apparently, "broccoli" is so named because it's considered the brother of cauliflower.  "Bro" + "cauli" = broccoli!  Weird. :D

It's easier to pick apples if you turn them counterclockwise first and tilt them up.

The lyrics to most high school musical and hannah montana songs.  :P (I already knew some of them...now I'm fairly sure I'm an expert)
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." ~Mark Twain

I learned that John le Carré lives just a few miles from here!

I'm actually not sure if that's right. According to www.dictionary.com the etymology of brocolli is: Origin: 1690–1700; Italian, pl. of broccolo, equiv. to brocc(o) sprout.

It's probably not true, but more of an urban legend.  Still, thought it was funny! :D
