i miss american sausage!!!
« on: September 09, 2008, 06:00:04 PM »
i miss the spiciness of american breakfast sausage and a good old fashioned sausage biscuit in the morning with grape jelly.... :(  any ideas on what might be similar to american sausage here?  i have looked around, but found nothing that resembles it, or even any sausage that is remotely spicy enough for my taste buds. anyone have any advice?

:-\\\\ isn't spicy sausage italian sausage?

Like if you order pizza you can choose "sausage" which is just like breakfast sausage or italian sausage which is spicy (ack  [smiley=bleck.gif] )

Linguica is yummie...ate it growing up (grandma is hawaiian)

Google has tons of recipes for sausage if you can't find any that are hot enough...

I think its more the spices in the sausage, not that it's spicy. Kind of peppery.

(At least to me it's not hot spicy :))
