Applicant's name
Applicant's nationality and passport number
Relationship to applicant
Date and type of application
Application number or FCO Reference number if available
Cognizant issuing post

Optionally, but may be asked for
    Utility bill
    Driving permit

ETA:  he should expect to fill out a constituent form about it, so bring a pen :)

Sorry.  I used to do MP casework.  Short odds he will get a letter from the government explaining the target performance timeframes, possibly a reference to the bulge caused by the PBS, and that's pretty much it.  He'll be going up against people who have been waiting for more than a year to hear something.

But if it makes the time go by, or if there really is an operational problem, or if it makes you feel better, or what-ever, then it's fine.  :D

hmm, that does not sound good.
I don't know what else to to..it is really difficult to be separated indefinitely while I am pregnant.  We thought it would only take a few days for the whole application process!  I ended up waiting nearly a month just for the biometrics appointment, and now 23 working days without even an email from the consulate.  Is there anything we can do???  I think we have a pretty straightforward application, so I don't know why it is taking so long for them to at least tell us that they opened the package.

If I pull the application, can I get my money back?  I read on a post here that you can get the biometrics appointment the same day in Westchester.  Then I could go through a courier and have it back for sure in a couple of days. Would that be an option?  I definitely cannot pay again, and I don't know how much longer I can wait until it will be more of a problem to fly.

I followed their advice and emailed them twice, once two days ago and once this morning.  I hope they will reply.

Vicky,
So this is a waste of time?  Is there anything else besides the email thing?  They don't respond when i have emailed or faxed.
Thanks ;)

You didn't say how far pregnant you are; and also if you have anything in the DHS database that might have flagged up.

I am 6 months.
What is the DHS?  I have never even had a parking ticket, if that is what you are asking!
My fiance owns his own home that is big enough for the 3 of us and is employed full time, so we have enough money as well.  I am not sure what else there could be. I sent in all the documents that were listed on the application.

Have they taken any money? they seem to do this almost straight away? if they have at least you will know they have received it and opened it up? I know its not much help but it would give you a time frame of when they might have received the paperwork also.

Indy
I hope we get better weather with the new year I am getting rained out.

Good luck to everyone with respective visa applications.
