It is good luck, according to every book of folklore and superstition I've ever read.

It rained on my wedding day.  It was wonderful, and we're still happy over four years on!

It rained on our wedding day last July 1st! We had the good fortune to have a 20 minute period where it was insanely sunny, though- for the good piccies! It IS good luck! Your day will be beautiful! No worries and just enjoy it!  ;D

Congrats!!!

It stormed like CRAZY on our wedding day. There was a tornado only a few miles down the road even - it was absolutely crazy. The tent flooded, the DJ had to be moved, we got soaked, davids shirt got stained red from his tie bleeding in the rain, my parents got stuck on a carriage ride in the pouring rain, my dress has a foot of mud running up the back of it by the end of the night, people were falling on the dancefloor from all the rain puddles, my dad had a huge fireowkrs display planned - determined to pull it off he had a troop of soaking wet men out there with blow-torches...

and it was the best day EVER. Everybody had a scream of a time - it all depends on your attitude! HAve fun with it if it rains. We did! :) Here are two photos... one of David & I running into the tent after having taken posed photos in the house, and another of some of my bridesmaids preparing for their run into the rain by covering their heads with whatever they could find in my dad's garage...

I was just thinking about rain on my wedding day myself and thought it would be a good idea to have some cool umbrellas (mostly for me and my brides maids - of course! - but maybe a few for the ushers to use as well.) I found this site:

www.umbrellart.co.uk

Might be too late for you to order, but I think John Lewis has some great ones as well.

I'm going for bright and cheerful ones!  ;D
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Those are gorgeous!  What a great idea ;D  It's too late for those, but maybe I will look in bloomingdales or Macy's.  Thanks!
Oh and it's back to rain again, lol!!!  I give up!!! :P
