I feel silly posting two topics in one day, but I recently purchased a one way ticket from Sacramento to London for October 27th, for $465 on cheapfareguru.com.
At the time of booking, I had to call to complete the process, because they had my wrong expiration date for the card and for some reason it registered as an American Express, even though I put down that it was a Visa. After that was fixed, and they still had all my correct information, the card still did not go through. So I had to call my bank, and they told me I had to go to verify visa website, and register the card; apparently it's extra security. So I called cheapfareguru again to complete booking my flight, and my card did go through. I didn't get a confirmation for another day though.
My problem is this- I just checked my bank account, I do my banking online. Let's just say I have $415 that should not be there. When I checked my history, cheapfareguru.com did charge me for the ticket, but they only took out $50!
I'm sure I'm just being stupid and this is normal when purchasing plane tickets, but does anybody have any idea what might have happened? Are they not going to charge me the full amount until my travel date? If that's the case I'll be paranoid about accidentally going overdrawn.
