Paying US bills from UK
« on: October 13, 2008, 09:56:13 AM »
I've been reading the old threads and just want to verify that what I understand is correct:

A US bill cannot be paid directly from my UK (HBSC) account.  I must transfer the funds to a US account and pay the bill from that.

:)  thanks
...the whole damn thing will turn

I'd say in the vast majority of cases (certainly in the case of my student loans and credit card) that's absolutely correct.  I definitely have to keep my US account open to pay my bills.
Now a triple citizen!

Student visa 9/06-->Int'l Grad Scheme 1/08-->FLR(M) 7/08-->ILR 6/10-->British citizenship 12/12
