« on: May 27, 2004, 05:39:42 PM »
I got my postcard back from the county clerk saying they will be sending my absentee ballot in October.  Can't wait!!!

Ok, it's a little silly, I know.  I'm just excited that I'm still going to get to vote.   ;D ;D ;D

My state does apparently.  I can only guess it's that way for other states.  Did you send in your application for an absentee ballot?

That is great Elle!!!  I pride myself in always voting, rain or shine!!!  I once debated with a friend about it and she is now a voter, and thanks me yearly!  I can't wait to get my AB too!

When I was 17 I worked part time at the Board of Education and my boss was actually willing to let me off work to go register to vote.  Unfortunately I was too young.  But I remember that I couldn't wait to vote!

I phoned because I hadn't received an absentee ballot for a while. It was then they told me that I had to apply for one each time. The procedure must have changed because for the first four years I was getting them automatically. I wanted to BE SURE I got a ballot for this year's general election! But while I was on the phone, she took my details and told me to not bother applying this year; she'd do it for me. I'm afraid I'm relying on trust. And that has me nervous. Florida. You know how they treated the absentee ballots in the last general election.  :-\\\\

Amazing how sometimes just a piece of paper can make someone so happy!  Congrats!! ;D I practically ran around the house waving my AB for the primary election when it came through the post so I know how you feel! [smiley=deal2.gif]

I'm still a bit uncertain whether I'll get my AB for the election in November automatically or if I need to send off another card. Lisa, did they mean each time meaning primary and general elections counting as two or one?? I'm so confused. A coworker from Texas got a nice info sheet with his primary ballot saying they will automatically send him another in Oct too. All I got from mine (PA) was an instruction sheet on how to fill out the ballot for the 2002 election!!

I wonder if I should just send off another request to be on the safe side.  :-\\\\
