well my st. patrick's day is off to an interesting start... had a really stressful evening and then woke up this morning with one eye completely swollen shut.  went to the doctor and she thinks it's a reaction to the stress.  my poor eye hurts so much and i look kind of awful right now. today is my super long day where i work 9-5 and then teach from 6:30-9. sigh.

awww lilybelle, I'm sorry! **hugs!!** I absolutely loath stress. And I feel like there is way too much of it lately, in my life at least. Hope you feel better soon! Wish you could call in sick! Maybe a glass of wine for that eye tonight?  ;)

Don't want to pack.

BUT - we have tons of future plans, which really make me happy.  We have a boat trip planned for Summer 2010 and a cruise in January 2011 (hopefully), so at least things are moving forward.  AND, Tim put in a request to have off the 4 extra days between his long weekend and the start of his summer fortnight so we can have three full weeks together this Summer in PA instead of just two.

July isn't *that* far away.  I'm thinking of moving the visit with my mom to December for Christmas (if mom agrees to spending Christmas away from family) for a week, and then I'll be back April or May 2010 to spend 5 months (assuming they don't knock visitors down to three months. If that goes through, we're screwed), so really, we'll only be apart at the most for 4-5 months, and we can do that!

I'm also going to be in PEI in September 2009 (to house sit), and hopefully Orlando in May 2009 (to visit family).....so I'm doing my best to stay positive.  Yesterday while we were out Tim mentioned something was "after I left" and tears came to my eyes and he noticed and told me that it upset him too, but he's looking forward to next week (because he has off work) so he's not letting it upset him, and he's totally right.  We still have two and a half weeks together.  Other than packing, we really should make the most of our time together!

Lily - that is terrible!  Have you ever experienced that kind of reaction before!?  Hows it doing today??

Good to hear from you Jamie.  Big hugs to you!

Sounds like good plans, Becca.

anna: all of those plans sound great!

eye is still incredibly swollen and painful today.  i've never had a reaction like this--it's a bit perplexing!  the eye itself seems to be fine, it's just the eyelid/outer skin surrounding the eye that is swollen and sore.  the doctor wasn't too helpful and could only suggest warm compresses, but i think i'm going to try taking a benadryl at lunch to see if that helps.  maybe it's an allergic reaction of some sort.

Happy 100 all you sappy romantics  ;D

Lily that is awful that your eye is still swollen and even worse yet that the doctor couldn't help...I hope it gets better soon for you...

Jamie it is sooo nice to hear from you...hugs I hope you get better soon...and yes the wedding is getting close...we were discussing some wedding stuff last night trying to make decisions and I got completley stressed out and started to cry...Jason was so good he just took me in his arms and hugged me and told me it would all be ok lol...I didn't know planning a wedding could be so stressful...

Patty are you sooo excited? Isn't Ian coming soon and you are getting married soon....I am so happy for you

Becca we will all be here for you to vent to when you come home from England...but you sound like you have some great plans for the future....

I hope all you other ladies are having wonderful days as well...

Bec... [smiley=hug.gif] ... Tim's right, focus on the positive. I know it's not easy, but letting yourself dwell on the sad only makes it worse. And you do have a ton of great plans to look forward to already, so that will help a lot!! It's always so much easier to get through when you have something to look forward to.

Josy and Patty - oh the wedding woes!! How I do NOT miss those. There were some times I was tempted just to say forget it to all of it and was convinced that DH and I wouldn't last if we couldn't even get through planning a wedding! (Josy, you're lucky that Jason is so supportive and there with you to hug you!). But it will be over eventually, and your less-stressed, sweet self will return and you will be happier and have fun pictures and memories.

*Hugs* thanks ladies!

I also decided I'm not going to finish my travel blog until I get back, so I can spend some time remembering about the trip when I get home....plus, mom reminded me of all the scrapbooking I get to do!  So...yeah, I'm really sad to leave, but I know the time will fly by.  plus, I understand I have a kitty at home who really misses his mommy.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who does that. The last full week I was in England, my fiance mentioned something about going up into Northampton the next weekend to do some major food shopping (they don't have an Iceland's in Daventry) and I just started to bawl. I thought I was just being a weirdo, I hate that last week feeling :(

But it sounds like you have a good attitude, and that's important--that and having plans to look forward to helps. And a kitty--I left mine for a bit over 2.5 months, and he was tickled pink to have me back :P

Nah, not a weirdo.  I nearly had a heart attack while we were at the hospital (lol) visiting his gran...his mum was there and mentioned that Step-sister wanted Tim to be photographer at her wedding.....on 1 August.  In the middle of Tim's scheduled trip to see me.  He told his mum he'd be in the US then, and when we got into the car, I asked him about it again, and he told me that if he had to choose between his sister and me, he'd pick me.  Completely floored me!

My poor cat. I was in Canada August & September, then home for TWO weeks before I left for the UK. My mom said he's been sleeping UNDER my covers he misses me so badly.

Awww, that's sweet :) It floored me when Steve first decided to fly out and see me back in 2006 basically on faith, since we hadn't met before. It was a long flight, and expensive, and a week's worth of holiday from work, but he did it anyway. Definitely a warm fuzzy feeling :P

My mom told me that while I was gone, my cat would start howling when she went to bed because he didn't have me in my bedroom to stay with (he loves sitting on the end of my bed and watching telly before I go to sleep) :(

Ladies, I have emerged....although, VERY stuffed up to the point where it's hard for me to hear.

Yes, I have been stricken with a terrible head cold.  Which reminds me, must take more Vitamin C before bed.

But anywho....I'm getting excited about Ian arriving on the 26th, but because he's so paranoid about things and kind of being a "Debbie Downer" about stuff, he's kinda actually knocked the excitement right out of me.  Quite sad, actually.  It's not "When I" it's "Hopefully I"  *sighs*

Anywho, I'm sorry to cut this short for now.  I have to call my best friend about my hen night this weekend.  Hope I'm well enough to go!

I'm keeping up with what's happening here, just don't always have time to post.  But know you ladies are in my thoughts!!  *HUGE hugs all around*

And woot!  100 pages?!  Get outta town! :P
