Coke and crisps worked for a while. and then I got insanely hungry and ate bacon Supernoodles brought home from Ireland.

I take my last final and can move out of my dorm in 46 days. I cannot wait. I'm getting so sick of this university/semester/dorm/etc.

I feel your pain, BBreslin, I don't drink much either (well, not at all when I'm in the States). Beer I'm fine with, and even WKD or whatever since that's a pre-measured drink, but my fiance is fond of vodka and orange juice every once and a while :-X And he doesn't measure his, since he's experienced and knows what he can take, so I figured I'd just fudge mine a bit as well.

Urgh, I felt like death warmed over the next day. It was my first hangover. Now I'll just stick with beer, it's a bit nicer to me  :-[

FYI, it's me.

Long story I won't get into, but I've had to change around my handles in a few places.  Might be permanent or temp, but I figure you all know who I am anyway!

I could tell by the moon...lol.

And sorry I wasn't here AT ALL yesterday.  My Lord, my friends did me in at my Hen Night.  I poured into bed around 2:30 am, the whole room was spinning, and I slept for about an hour before I proceeded to sleep with my small trash can next to my face because I kept throwing up.  And proceeded to do so in the morning.

Needless to say, I will NEVER drink like that again...lol.  But those of you that are friends of mine on FB can see the photographic proof.

I will tell you this though.  We went to this really chill Irish pub, where I had Strongbow for the first time (in honor of Carey!), and my friends tried to get this guy to chat me up.  He thought we were out celebrating my birthday, until I had taken my coat off and he saw the giant "Bachelorette" sash across my chest.  He turned to his buddies and yelled "Oh man!  She's getting married!  Duuuuddeee...this sucks, because I wanted that!"  meaning me.  lol  Made me feel good though knowing that Ian isn't the ONLY man on Earth that finds me attractive.  Well, Ian and this STNA at work..but he doesn't count. :p

So yeah....short story, I know....now I have to go and get ready for work.  Tonight and tomorrow night will be spent doing the cleaning I didn't do this past weekend since Ian arrives on Thursday.  'bout damn time!

Have a good Monday, ladies! xx

LOL! ti's nice to be wanted though, isn't it?

I figured the moon would tip people off, and I currently still have the same twitter account linked in my signature file, too.

Hello all. Wow, quite a lot of drinking stories for this weekend!! I've had a few nasty hangovers myself and I can say I completely agree that the fun does not compensate for the day after. When I drink I prefer to have just enough so I can get buzzed but still be able to function normally the next day. Oh, and I finally tried Strongbow for the first time when DH was here for the wedding (he and all his friends practically grew up kaining that stuff) and I LOVE it! Cider beer = mmmm. I'm a classy girl, I know :)

Well, at 10:00 last night my friend who is a pilot finally called me up and got me set up with my buddy pass. SO... I have my ticket and I leave on the 31st!! That's in a week!! This morning I almost started crying when I was telling DH about it. So of course he got all like "you don't want to come here" and I had to explain that of course I do, but it will be very emotional for me.

Now all I have to do is sell my car and get my life sorted out and packed!! I had a few people come look at the car this weekend and they all liked it, but I guess none of them were the right one. No solid offers yet. One week left, I need some positive vibes coming this way! Currently listening to Zen Relaxation music at work and trying to stay calm and positive and visualize everything coming together. No reason to get stressed. This is finally here after 4+ years!!

We have a girl coming in for a second interview today to take my position. I liked her when she came in last week. Hopefully she gets the job and can come in at least one or two days this week to train with me. I don't want to leave them completely hanging here. Although they have other people that can train, and I'm making a sort of manual as well, but I'd like to help more.

The moon certainly did help Becca and of course we still want you...I read the other thread and I think it is awful what those two people are trying to do to you...but of course we still love you...

wow Patty sounds like a heck of a hen night and you almost got picked up...you go girl...that is awesome...sorry about all the puking though...

chi chi only a week left wow that is amazing...it will be here before you know it...

Carey how was your weekend?

Beth are you feeling better?

Brittany is your hangover gone?

Kittenfish sounds like you had your share of a hangover as well ....was that recently? are you feeling better?

how are all the ladies in here doing?

Life here is good...it was weird to celebrate Mother's day yesterday when it isn't till May in the states...all the talk about mom's made me a little homesick

oh one funny thing...I warned Jason I am going to be pmsing this week so since they don't have cheesesteaks here in England (that is what I crave when I am pmsing) that he needs to put on his schedule for this week a trip to Pizza hut lol....

I thought I saw those steak-um style steaks in Tesco?  I know it's not the same thing, being a philly girl myself, but it might be a good substitution?  Or buy a really thin steak and pound it down even thinner!  I've never looked, but does Subway here do cheesesteaks?  I know the ones in my area of PA do....

BTW, when do you return to PA? In just enough time for the wedding, or will you be back sooner? we'll have to get together since I'm a short train ride away!

It's ridiculous. If any of you are on LJ, add me and then I'll add you to the secret LJ I keep this stuff on.  (my lj is annaonthemoon).  If you're on my LJ already and want on the secret LJ, prod me and I'll add you.

I swapped my name here because they know I post here all the time and I didn't want anything to start over here. but now it matches my blog. and I'm considering a rename token on LJ and a new twitter name, anyway. We'll see.

Hi girls:)  Yes...had my own sweet little hangover on Sunday morning.  It was the first time I got really drunk since before I was pregnant.....oh my.  Let me just say I liked throwing up for a different reason better:)

we are doing....NHS managed to totally piss us off today.  We were supposed to pick up our baby today so we could bury him...and they said he needs to stay in the lab for 6 weeks in case something happens to me so they can test him.  I think it's bullshit and I want him back!! UGH anyway long battle ahead of me....pathologist calling to argue me tomorrow.

Other than that we are doing really well.  I am not as sick as I was last week, plus it's SO much easier to handle things together than to handle things from 4500  miles away.

I hope all you are doing really well...miss you guys.  talk to you soon:)

MUAH

Becca they have steak ums at Tesco? oooo I will have to check that out....even though that isn't a real philly cheesesteak I could still make that work...

I will be back in PA for 2 weeks in June and then I will be back the whole month of August...we get married at the end of August and apply for our marriage visa...we should get together in August I would like that since we are neighbors...

Oh Jamie honey I am sooo sorry they are doing this to you...this can't be helping you with the grieving process...you give them hell tomorrow on the phone and if they won't listen to you....you let them know that you have some of your friends from the states over and we would be more then happy to help you get your point across....I hope you and Alan are doing better...and yes it does make all the difference in the world to be together when something happens then to be apart...you can face it better as a couple...

sounds like everyone did a lot of drinking this weekend...except me...lol....

Oh my, that's horrible! I don't really understand why they'd need to keep the baby- surely they've gotten all the information they needed off an initial exam! :(  I hope you can get this resolved.

I don't think they're called Steak-ums, but I know Tim's aunt mentioned making one the other day, so you might have to do some searching!

Good to know.  I never eat them in the US, since I live pretty close to the genuine places, but at least if you really need a slice of home, it's there!

if Tesco's are good PLEASE LET US KNOW hahaha....and I went to SUbway a few weeks ago.  THEY DIDN'T EVEN HAVE MUSTARD!! lol I'm not even kidding.

Don't talk tome about mustard. Coleman's Mustard is the grossest thing I have ever tasted.  "American" or "mild" is what we want! Coleman's is more like Grey Poupon or something.  No, it's worse than that, because I can tolerate GP...maybe like Gouldman's or whatever it's called.

It would be nice to meet up with an American friend...we may even be able to travel to meet you if you are too far away....just let me know

I wish I had thought of it sooner, or we all could have met up! But I leave on the 6th, and although Tim's got the next 2 weeks off, I'm not sure we have time to travel outside of Lincolnshire :(
