OH!! I totally forgot!! The Holiday was on TBS Saturday night and watched the last half of it and thought of you all.

Also, Beth, my flight on the 31st has a layover in Atlanta, so I'll be thinking of you! :)

Too bad I won't be able to drop by and say hi! lol Oh well. Have fun in the airport!

And I *totally* watched the second half of the Holiday yesterday, too!! LOL I thought of all of us here! :D

Jamie- happy to see you around. I hope things get worked out with the hospital soon. :)

Patty- Ahhhhhhh! My heart jumped for you a bit when I read it!!! Get cleanin' girl. You should have hired a maid like me. ;) Not much longer!

Hi Brittany! Sorry you have so much to do, but those 49 days will fly! Being busy is the best thing in the end! And sorry about the hangover. The trick? Drink more often! You'll build up a tolerance like me! ;D

Hi Josy! Yes, I am feeling better. Today is the first day in 2 1/2 weeks I haven't had a headache (woohoo!) Still snively, but I am pretty sure I'll be able to run tomorrow so I'm very happy!

Hi Carey! How are ya? Getting excited??

Becca- cooking some extra meals for later is a great idea! I'm sure Tim will love it!

Anywho- back to How I met your mother and my spaghetti! Laterz....

So Patty you are traveling around with everyone else...you totally forgot me...you are going to see Jamie and Alan, and Beth when she is here and Carey when she comes over...I know I live far away from everyone else but don't forget me lol

Brittany the woolworth was the only place in town to buy dvd's and cd's anything fun...so it shutting down in this town was a big problem

you know now that you are all talking about the holiday...my mother must have seen some of it cause the other day she asked me about it...she asked me the name of it and if she could borrow my dvd of it...lol (I couldn't figure out where that came from)

I love cooking for Jason as well and made Impossibly easy cheeseburger pie last night for dinner...

Beth I am glad you are feeling better lady I was starting to worry...what is new and exciting?  ;D

Oh, don't worry, Josy...I'm NOT going to forget you.  BELIEVE me. :)  You, Jason, Ian and I are DEFINITELY going to hang out.

I think Ian realises (like Alan with Jamie) that I'm going to need friends from America to help me through everything that I'll be experiencing, because we'll all be experiencing it TOGETHER.

And Becca, traveling with Ian and I will happen as well. :)  Maybe we really all SHOULD just meet up in London one day?  I wonder if we went out to eat the staff would be confused by all the English guys, and all the American women? lol

So my family is FINALLY jumping on the cleaning bandwagon, only because tomorrow night I can't do much since I'll be out for my final dress fitting.  Woot!

And Chi!!!  You're leaving in a week.  I can't believe it?!  Where again will you be living?  It's more North, isn't it?  Maybe we should meet up one day as well and do some shopping? I'm starting to get on a slight shoe kick, and I know you're a shoe gal, so you can show me a thing or two.  Buuuttt....I don't do heels...lol.

O.k., my lovelies!  I'll TRY and get on here tonight and tomorrow night to be updated on everything.  Hope you ladies have a lovely Tuesday!  *HUGE hugs all around*

haha that would be priceless.  OR, we could each take turns being host and visit each other in our towns. Granted, we'd all still need hotel rooms, but it might be fun to play host and show each other around our new towns!

Today is 3-3-3 for our countdown! :D  Tim's going to purchase his ticket this week since I found him a deal on BA - LHR - PHL for £518RT in the middle of the Summer!  And the times work out great - the flight doesn't leave LHR until 4:30, so even if Tim comes off a 10p-6a the night before, he'll be in good shape for getting down to London on the train in plenty of time, and he gets into PHL around 7PM, so I don't have to worry about borrowing my mom's car and driving to the airport, I can just take the train to meet him! :D

Chi - I cannot believe your countdown!  OMG.  So excited for you!

I am getting jealous of everyone's countdowns that are super close - maybe I should make one for David's trip here now that we are in the teens! woo!

Thank goodness the fam is helping with the cleaning, Patty.  I have begged my dog and cats to help me clean and they just make more messes.  Blech :)

So glad you are feeling better Beth - I'll be cheering you on for the race from the comfort of my bed! ... oh wait, I'll be at the vets office Saturday morning - my dog has her titer test!! *fingers crossed*

And we totally should meet up in London. Duh!  Although I guess that easy for me to say since I think I will be the closest to London... At least us "southerners" should meet up there one day - it has to be done!

All this meeting up sounds like so much fun!  If any of you get to Northern Ireland, give me a ring!  :)

There was a tourism advert on the Travel Channel last night for Belfast.  I was both really excited to see that Belfast is getting tourism commercials, but at the same time I was like "Nooo! Belfast is MY place!"

Hello all. It's nearing the end of my work day (1.5 hours to go) and I am SO ready for it. Not that today has been particularly bad for any reason, I'm just kind of fed up with it now. I'm going to show my car for a second time to someone that is interested in it (**fingers crossed**) after work. And I just can't wait to get home and wach my face and put on some sweats!! I do have to run to my friends tonight to drop some pictures off to her before she has major surgery tomorrow, but she won't mind if I'm not wearing any makeup. So much to do, so much to do. I just want to relax and enjoy my time left, but that doesn't seem possible.

Oh Patty, how I would LOVE to go shoe shopping. I'm fearing that I will not be able to shop for a very long time after I move there. I can only imagine us being too poor to even afford rail passes. Which, by the way, I need to figure out at some point what I should get for that and how much it will be. DH can get a student rail pass that's cheaper, so I don't know if I can get any sort of discounts.

Oh man, I am so hungry and all I have to eat are protein bars. It's not really even that my stomach is all that hungry. More like I just want good, REAL food. Protein bars is not gonna cut it.

I think I've exhausted all of my methods for keeping busy at work and now I'm really bored and really anxious to go home.

Beth, any recommendations for things to do in the Atlanda airport? I probably won't have that long of a layover, but in case I get bumped (since I am flying standby) or my flight is delayed or anything - is there much in that airport?

Becca, try to look at the positive. I know that advice sucks right about now, but look to the future and be excited. Take advantage of the time you have together and apart and apreciate the differences in those times. (example: I LOVE being with my hubby, but I can now appreciate the time I can spend relaxing and having alone time: watching a chick flick and eating chocolate in bed, or all the things I can get done when I'm not with him).

Well, everyone else is probably done with work alreayd. How were your days??

Are you talking about a Rail Pass that would give you discounts?  AFAIK, and this is coming via the Network Rail person next to me - there are Rail Passes for students, people over 60, and families (you have to be traveling with a kid every time you use it). There isn't a standard discount card for regular travel.  Tim suggests buying rail tickets as early in advance as you can to take advantage of the cheap fares, because prices go WAY up the closer to the date you want to travel.  Sadly, it's not like Amtrak at all where you can show up the day of and still get a decently priced ticket. :(

I'll actually need to be getting a monthly rail pass in the West Yorkshire area for travel to and from work, DH's uni, etc. I don't think there is any sort of discount that will apply to me, so I'm expecting it to be at least 100 GBP a month :(

This reminds me I need to decide on some dates for some of the day trips I want to take this summer.... I'm going to need to get those soon before they go crazy expensive! Last summer I didn't realize this happened in the UK since in no other country (at least in W Europe) does the price change on the day of travel! I ended up taking a bus from Nottingham to London bc I tried to get the ticket I'd seen for £8 online and it was over £50 on the day!! No way!! Bus was like £15 or something... The guy in Spain- when I asked how much the ticket I'd researched was- even joked with me about me knowing the price since he could see I had it written down in my little travel notebook!

Chi- hmmm... Atlanta airport... I'd say head to terminal C- there's a pretty good Chili's there! Are you flying Delta? You might be in D. E is the international terminal but I think you now have to show an international ticket to even get to it these days. There's not that much out there really... Some boring shops (you know, the usual ones) Meh. Sorry! Not much I can recommend really...  Here's the website, though, in case you want to check it out! :)    http://www.atlanta-airport.com/Concessions/

Ok, I'm roasting some veggies in the oven for dinner (potatoes, brussel sprouts, and golden beets) and need to go check on their roasty progress! Have a great evening folks!

hahaha. That is so funny! That's what my friend said last night when I said I was flying through Atlanta (about the Chili's). I am flying Delta as a matter of fact. Thanks for the site. I'll have a little perusal around it tomorrow when I'm bored. :)

FINALLY time to go!!!

OK people! I've been super busy all day with getting my job ready to be replaced after I'm gone in 2 days, so that's my excuse for not being here all day. What's yours??

We had a half day where our schedules are crazy for the first half of the day, then we get to sit in really boring meetings about stuff we really don't care about for the second half! So no computer access. At this point, I'm trying to get motivated to finish up some cleaning I need to do. Just gonna finish this one beer first................ ;)

Chi- how exciting that it's your last 2 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This time next week.. :)
