Ugh, you said it Becca!  I'm at school in DC and am utterly fed up hearing girls say "My boyfriend is all the way at Penn State..."

Um...

 [smiley=bomb.gif]

Even worse? They'll ONLY be apart for this weekend.  They live like 2 hours away and see each other evrey week.

Haha! Hey, I went to Penn State ;)

Urgh, I hate that. 'I won't see him for 2 whole days' or 'it's hard because she lives like an hour away from me'. I'd like to see them do 20+ hrs of transit (with all the time zones) and 6,000 miles :P

lol, me too.  While I love the travel opportunities my LDR has provided, I'd give it up in a second to be with my bf every day.  If one more person says "Yeah, but you're SO lucky you get to go to London *all the time*"  Clearly, 3 times a year is *all the time.*

WE GOT THE APARTMENT!!

it is perfect for us!  was up in the air for a bit, as three other couples made offers on it this morning, as well.  one even offered to pay 50 pounds more per month in rent, so the realtor had to call and ask if we were willing to match it.  we said we were and offered to sign for a year rather than 6 months, and the realtor said he liked us the best and would recommend the landlord go with us.  woo!!  so thrilled to have this piece of the move sorted!

have a great weekend everyone!

Wonderful lily.  Congratulations!

Re: all this "im seperated from my BF for ONE weekend" garbage:  this really gets to me as well.  One of my friends had a whiney status message on her facebook about how she wont see her BF for 3 whole days.  Get over it!  I was just thinking in the car today how amazing it would be and how spoiled I would feel if I got to see my boyfriend...er... husband (gotta get used to that) even every weekend.  That would be absolutely amazing and you would not hear a peep of a complaint from me if that were the case. Hmph!  I suppose its all about perspective, but I do have to phsyically restrain myself from strangling poeple when I hear them whinging about being away from their SOs for a few days or even a few weeks. Two whole weeks!?! OHHHH whatever will you do??  Ugh. Add me to the group of horrendously bitter women today.

On a lighter note: Its my one-week wedding anniversary :)

Yay! Happy anniversary ;)

LESS THAN THREE MONTHS until I get to see Tim again :D Yay.

We had a bit of an odd conversation ther other day.  We were talking about something...can't even remember what, and Tim made some comment about 30-yr-old women who whine about not being married.  So I quietly said to him "four months". and he replied with a very firm "No".  I was upset at first, thinking he was trying to tell me he doesn't want to get married now, but apparently he meant he wasn't going to use my birthday as the "deadline" for anything - which I completely agree with.  It would be stupid for us to try and even set a deadline for getting engaged.

Yeah, because flying around in tiny cans of recycled air until you turn into a zombie just to see your BF is awesome  :-\\\\ I'd give my right arm to drive a couple hours to see my fiance :P Granted, I'm thankful for what I get now, but I'm getting to the point where I'm not really content with just MSN or whatever, even though I really don't have a lot of room to complain :(

He has a good point--it's not really good to put an arbitrary date on something as emotional as an engagement kinda. That's not to say it still won't happen in the next few months, he just wants to surprise you  :)

I never would have thought of putting a deadline on it, either. I was just pointing out to Tim that I would be 30 in four months so he shouldn't make comments about unmarried 30 yr old women! :D

Definitely, we're all smarter than that :) I've just seen people that do that, or they say they want to be married by a certain age or whatever, and I just cringe inside, and it made me think of those situations (or the 'If I'm not married by 30 I'll be an old maid for the rest of my life' syndrome I see some people exhibit).

Just give him a slap if he continues being cheeky like that :P

Hi ladies!

The bad weather is here just in time for the weekend...nice and gloomy outside!  ::)

I'm 36 and never been married and will be 37 when I finally do marry...I feel younger than ever!  ;D

I have a friend who has been married and divorced 2 times and she's younger than me.  Yet, I'm considered odd for never have been married!

LOL Cella. Tim'll be 39 in August, and I'm his first serious relationship ;)

But I also know people younger than me who are on second (and third!) spouses. It's crazy!

Becca, It is crazy, but I hold no judgement...to each his/her own, right?  I just find it funny when I get so many questions about why I haven't been married!  ::)

Graham is 42 and has been married once before.

There is a thread in another section talking about dating the wrong guy in the past and trying to "fix" them...that pretty much sums me up.  Thankfully I found 1 I don't have to "fix"...will mostly anyway!  ;D

LOL.

On Facebook, I see TONS of girls I went to HS with who are married and/or have kids, and they always ask me why I'm not. My response was always "when the time is right, I'll get married".

same here...especially being from the south, where people start families at a REALLY young age. i'm 28 and most of my high school classmates were married with a kid or two by the age of 21 or 22... a few of my classmates even have 10 year olds!
