it should be no bodies business why you are married or not....if you are in a relationship with someone you love why should it make a difference if you marry or not...the love is still there the same...I was a late bloomer with everything and had my first long relationship when I was 31. But since I have met Jason and been going out with him for 5 years (he is not my longest relationship and my last :o)) He was and is the first man I have ever loved...and we are getting married in August...but that is because we both want to..but I don't think it will change the way I feel about him..I love him with all my heart right now...and if he decided that he never wanted to get married I probably would have gone along with it as long as I knew that we were going to be together...so those people that ask why aren't you married yet? why don't you have kids yet? need to mind their own business...when the time is right it will all happen..

Patty Yay you made it finally....so I guess since y our jet lagged you will be sleeping till sometime next week

Brittany how are exams and stuff going?

Beth are you still around?

All you other ladies have a good weekend.....

Good God. My friend now says to me "I'm having such a hard time having a good time this weekend knowing that my boyfriend is so far away"

....seriously?  SERIOUSLY?  You want me to respond to this?

Sorry, but I have fun without Tim all the time because if I didn't, well, I'd have a pretty miserable existence.

(Not that I don't have my OMG I miss Tim moments, but still. If I was away at a tournament all weekend playing my favourite sport, I think I'd enjoy myself without Tim.)

It's like when my friend who weighs about 100 lbs. comments on how "fat" she is in front of another friend with a genuine weight issue.  Grrrr, some people never consider how selfish their comments can appear to those of us with *real* distance issues.

I know she wants sympathy from me and she thinks I'll have it since I'm in an LDR, but dude.  ONE WEEKEND apart is nothing compared to the months most of us are apart for!

And I know girls like that, too.  One wears a size 8 and thinks she's a "cow". I always tell her "thanks, I don't want to know what I am then" (I'm a size 14/16, but I'm pretty much okay with it).

I just ignore people like this. Desperate ploy for attention and all, they get madder the less you respond to them.  Which, sorry to say- I take a bit of pleasure in.

I'm just cranky today (as last weekend this time I was whooping it up in London) but if one more person puts on their facebook "so and so loves their ridiculously, kind boyfriend who is currently cooking them lobster marinated in champagne while hand washing the kitchen floor and doing the laundry" I. AM. GOING. TO. SCREAM!

Yes, I'm a cranky b.  I am happy for people in lovely relationships that get to see each other every day, but geez do they have to rub it in?

Rant over.  I'll try and be nice Sarah again.

Hi!

Yes, Josy, I'm still around. Just been lurking more lately. We've had CRCT testing at school which keeps me away from the computer due to being in another classroom. We've still got it all next week, too! Can we say borrrrrring? lol

Anyway, Patty!!! So glad you and Ian finally made it *home*. I bet that feels so awesome to say!!! Hope that kid next to you wasn't too irritating. A good subtle elbow smash usually does the trick in those circumstances, btw. ;) [kidding folks!]

Carey- happy one week anniversary! lol Time really flies, doesn't it. :) Hehe

Sorry y'all are having ldr pangs. All I will say is I can relate and sympathize with you. It sucks major. Especially when technology doesn't want to cooperate!

Not much else going on here except counting the days till school's over and I leave for London (currently 25 days of school not including weekends and 41 days till I fly outta here, including weekends!!!) I'm watching the hockey playoffs to pass the time (GO PENS/CAPS/CANADIENS!! lol Yes, I root for more than one team!) So far, only the Pens are actually doing well. *sigh*

Anywho, I hope you all are doing relatively well, despite the missing SO's! Enjoy the rest of your weekend. :)

Yays! *does another mental happy dance* The pre-travel ESTA thing is pretty sweet, Steve was surprised when he got approved within a few minutes of submitting everything for him and his son :)

I think Tim was expecting something more involved, to be honest. i'm just glad it's good for two years or whatever.

Yup, two years or whenever their passport expires, whichever comes first I believe. I was expecting a load more questions as well, but they seemed simple enough; all Steve had to do was update his info once he got his flight information sorted :)

Just a heads up - the fact that they have filled out the ESTA thing doesnt automatically ensure or guarantee their entry to the US.  Not that any of your guys will have trouble, but they can still be refused entry even if they have been "approved" via the ESTA program.

Yeah, me and Steve are aware of that, it's just to allow him to travel to the US, but it doesn't guarantee entry. It's just a relief when you fill it out and you don't have any weird glitches since it's relatively new :)
