Yeah, Steve's familiar with Leicester And now I need to remember that it's East, not West Midlands; my problem is I try to picture it in my head but it gets all weird and jumbled so then I just have to go on google earth or something to find things. I also get poked fun at by writing out Northampton by those that live there, I haven't gotten used to just writing Northants yet when I write out addresses and such

Yeah, Lincs is the abbreviation for Lincolnshire, but I still write it out sometimes

First things first, two of those maps show it but the zoomed in West Midlands area map misses out the fact that there is also a county called the West Midlands now, some strange places refuse to acknowledge this of course (strangely so considering we have been here since 1974... well I haven't but the country has) and divide us between Warwickshire, Worcestershire and sometimes Staffordshire but we are a small County right in the middle of the west of the midlands, gets a little confusing that way but there it is! LOL!

Okay now, back on topic, concerning the romantic movies thing this thread is about I was kinda surprised my sweetheart didn't mention our many movie watching sessions, which we manage to have when we are separated too, we have watched a few movies while both having the same DVD and being on the phone, its so nice to be able to do... makes me feel closer to her, I miss her so much! Weird thing tho is that the discs go out of sync, its like the US DVD's run quite a bit slower for some reason!

Anyway, good to be here! I am sure I forgot to say something I was going to but I will come back if I remember!

If you look, there's a tiny section that's numbered on the West map, and one of those numbers might have been for West Midlands.  I'm not sure where it came from, since I just pulled the maps off google image.

Yes, of course you are right, for some reason the slightly different shapes and colours and highlighting threw me off, or I am possibly just blind!! I was thinking it should be further over, still it seems to ignore the county as such in favour of highlighting all the boroughs! Gotta love the consistency!

I tracked down the website I stole the map from and West Midlands as a county itself isn't even listed - http://p1.countryside.gov.uk/LAR/Access/LAF/w_midlands/index.asp

Thanks for the maps! Rich ahd to break it down for me and tell me which are towns,councils and counties. I'm still learning

And yeah I forgot to mention our rom-com date nights. We haven't had one of those in a while,but he did mention wanting to watch Wolverine together...i know...not romantic at all...but the thought is and I really don't know how we're going to manage that unless we get lucky with the showtimes.
