I'll probably be screaming and calling everyone I know when my app comes through, too. Plus filling out passport paperwork and sending off my CV to jobs left and right...hopefully another 1-5 weeks of waiting left, assuming the original turnaround time of 1-2 months still holds true.
No dice today on the horse front, which is not really surprising. (It's all such a crapshoot.) What is surprising/frustrating is that apparently the one woman (of the 2 who came to see him today) who is actually looking for a horse to buy is a total rank beginner, which begs the question - what business do you have buying a horse? Let alone looking at MY horse, who happens to be equivalent to a Border Collie - very smart, very friendly, very energetic, and needs experienced handling not to ruin your life.
Actually, he's remarkably mellow and laid-back, but if you're on his back, he expects to be doing something or going somewhere...otherwise you should be kind enough to get off him already and let him get back to the all-consuming task of eating, napping, and pooping.
So...that was a drag, since while I know it's hard to find the right horse (having gone through very long searches myself in the past), it's ridiculously simple to rule horses out for various reasons...and not knowing what on earth you're doing on a horse would be a very good reason to rule out 99% of the horses out there.
Anyway...TGIF!
