Hi Ladies,
Sorry I haven't been on in awhile...been home getting ready for the wedding...3 weeks tomorrow..I am busy finishing up last minute details and working on my marriage visa...And then keeping my fingers crossed that we get approved. It is nice to see that some people have been able to get their marriage visa without any problem. Hopefully that will bode well for Jason and I. But we shall see.

Carey I was trying to catch up on the thread and want to congratulate you on your job interview. But it is the first day you get into England? Won't you be jet lagged?
And I read about you picking up the British accent when you talk to David and people hasselling you for it...I don't get a British accent when I am over there and my accent probably won't change...I will always sound like I am from Pennsylvania hehe...and I have been talking to Jamie and Patty and their accents haven't changed either...they are definitely American..now we all use British words but our accents haven't changed...so I think it is interesting that you pick it up...what does David say about it?...But don't worry whether you have a British accent or an American one they are going to hassle you anyway...that happens to me...they tease me because of my American accent and how I say certain words..and you know what I am glad I am a little different lol...ignore them. Have a safe trip and I hope you settle in quickly...

The rest of you ladies look like you have good things going on...how are the rest of you ladies? what is new? it looks like everyone is possibly moving over to England shortly or coming for a visit...we are def going to have to have a big get together when you all get over here...

Patty I hope the new job is treating you right.....

Jamie how the heck are you?

Beth are you over your jetlag yet?

I hope you all have a good weekend and good luck ladies...

Josy, how exciting that the wedding's coming up quite soon!  Is Jason in PA with you or will he be arriving later?

Carey - I tried to re-post to your FB status, but FB hates me.  I was going to say that I'm sure you'll do awesome and they'll realize how great you are (even if you do happen to be a bit jet-lagged), and obviously they'll want to hire you. :)

And hey, look on the bright side, now you have a job interview to stress over instead of everything else.  ;)  (I don't know if you watch House, but in one episode he decides detoxing is so bad he's going to break some of his fingers so that his brain will focus on how crappy that feels instead...)

Anyway, I hope your going away party/ies this weekend go well, and your job interview goes well, and everything else!

I've got a crazy busy this weekend including showing my horse off again tomorrow, moving furniture and getting my carpets cleaned, and competing in a horse show on Sunday.  Should be fun (except the furniture/carpet bit), but I could really use a weekend to do nothing but relax.  Oh well, I'll get that in a few weeks (and I'm sure once my horse sells I'll want a weekend full of riding and won't be able to have one, so I plan to enjoy it now while I can.)  Just wish it wasn't so insanely hot...Sunday's high is 98!

Thanks for the good wishes, ladies.  Luckily, I dont generally get jet lagged very badly, so hopefully this wont be any different.  Fingers crossed!!

Its getting so close to your wedding, Josy - I hope everything is coming together nicely.

As far as my "accent" goes, its just the inflection that I have noticed, but David doesnt notice it b/c its familar to him.  We'll see how "bad" it gets in a few weeks :)

Good luck on the horse and house fronts, Shanthi!  Oh and I do love me some House. I havent seen that one, but hes got a point there for sure.

Sarah, PM that number!

Tim leaves today :(

This morning while we were cuddling in bed, I needed to get up to use the loo and asked Tim to let go.  He got tears in his eyes and told me he didn't want to let go.  *sniff sniff*

Oh! And yesterday he gave me a journey necklace as an early 30th, since we won't see each other on it (my birthday is between the visits).

Nothing is sweeter then that - that is a true man to show his feelings...
A Journey necklace is beautiful - you lucky girl (I can say that now knowing I am older then you) ;-)

Can't wait to hear all about the holiday and what you guys did!

When's the next visit? We all look forward to the what's next right?

I'll see him while Mom and I are gallivanting around in September.  Plans are for him to meet us in Holyhead over his long weekend and then we might go back and base ourselves at his house for the last week of our trip and take day trips via train.

I'll be sure to do a full write-up of everything we did, either on my LJ, FB, or travel blog.

Can life get better? Yes I hope it can but I am quite happy today!
1. Its only 12 days to my birthday and I am excited to see what the BF has up his sleeve!
2. I leave in 30 days to actually see him
3. He is coming to Thanksgiving and will most likely meet my mom/family
4. I am going back for New Years!
5. We are talking about going to T in the Park Next July!

Really all of this in one week <sigh> makes me a happy camper.  This man just makes me the happiest girl in the world and sharing is caring so I am sharing....

How are the rest of ya <crickets going off in background>

Mirra - are you still breathing!
Elly(sheateawholepie) - 1 week then lunch in ATX~
Eques - any job leads yet - didn't see any updates on FB ?
JEP - ohh the wedding countdown - how exciting....I love wedding planning and photos and the love that surrounds it!

Me if/when I get married again - I will sooooo do Vegas as to plan another big wedding I just don't have the nerves for it or not to mention the $ hahaha

Have a fab day!

Heh. It's 17 days until my birthday ;)  (which happens to be the day before JEP's wedding!) but that's why Tim and I did the present thing while he was here.  His birthday is on the 31st, so it really was a shame we couldn't work out a visit over the birthdays. Oh well, next Summer.

Surprisingly, I'm doing okay on my own. I haven't cried anymore (but I was a mess at the airport and before we left my house), and Tim surprised me by ringing me on Skype the second he got home from work yesterday (usually we wait an hour or so to let him do things around the house).

Today the young boy Tim mentors is coming over to his house to see all of Tim's photos because according to the boy's mum, he really missed Tim while he was away. So I guess I can sacrifice talking to Tim today for the sake of M  (M is 13).

Those sound like fantastic plans Zoya!  New Years Eve was always a holiday I wanted to spend with David, but we never got to do it... and now I may be coming home for Christmas/New Years so we may not do it this year either!

TWO DAYS CAREY and 1 DAY KERRI!!! EEEEE! :)

Zoya! Awesome!! Plans make everything easier to bear.

Ok, back to work. At least that distracts me from missing England, etc...

I was going to type Yay after all of these, but here's just a big fat YAY instead!  That sounds awesome. :)

No job leads for me, but I'm holding off on sending out my CV until the part where it says I'm a dual citizen is actually true.  ;)  Plus, between showing off my horse, prepping for horse shows, and cleaning my house, I haven't had time/energy to worry about jobs.

On the horse front, I thought things were promising but the girl that saw him again on Saturday (she was the first one to see him 3ish weeks ago) had a rather bad spoiled brat moment, so that's greatly lowered her qualification as a good home in my book.  Which is a shame, since I think she'd get along well with my horse (and vice-verse), but he doesn't need to be treated like a pack mule.  So, on to the next one, I guess....if only I weren't so attached/picky.

Horse show this weekend!  :D  And the weather's actually supposed to be fairly decent (84 instead of 98).  Next weekend I'm hoping to do a whole lot of nothing, and then the weekend after that...citizenship!  Yay!

Carey and Kerri - I can't believe you guys are moving finally!  I hope the moves go well, jet-lag is brief, job interviews/start dates go awesomely, and you have lovely times with your SOs!  :D  So happy for both of you.
